You missed that the pd defended them in a presser by saying they didn't realise he had been shot. You know, other than him saying it repeatedly and the cop who shot him said so.

right... i'm sure a cop can't distinguish a gun-shot from 20 yards. what bull****.

And being a trained police officer standing several feet from someone who just discharged their firearm into another human being
04-12-2015 , 08:12 PM
It's weird to see them talk about how they didn't mean to shoot him while also saying it's totally cool because he had a hand by his waistband.
04-12-2015 , 08:14 PM
Yeah tough choice for them, must feel like the tread is finally wearing off the best excuse ever invented for murdering black people
04-12-2015 , 08:18 PM
Damn I didn't realize the guy was already on the ground when he was shot. How the **** do you not know a person you are holding onto got shot by a person standing right next to you?
04-12-2015 , 08:23 PM
the tattooed ********** didn't show up till after. but he clearly still heard the shot. and he's clearly a dumb ****ing ****.

Ha! Tiny sweet baby Jesus in a basket help us.

Can the other cop who shot the dude in the back 30 times plead temporary rage infested d-bag? Can't wait till that dick gets locked in a federal pound me in the ass prison.

There seems to be an alarming number of cop shootings recently. Is it the norm, and because of the 24 hour news cycle we hear more about it, or is **** just getting ****ing crazy out there.
04-12-2015 , 11:59 PM
Just hear about it more is my guess.

Whenever there's a shooting around my neck of the woods people freak out and talk about how it's getting so much worse, was never like this back in the day, etc etc etc but when you look at crime data we're on a 20 year downward trend like the rest of the country.

Video taping is making police shootings a lot more visceral. There has been like 4 police shootings in the last 3 months here but because there isn't any tape it's just the polices' word and any investigation gets buried. It just fades into the background.

This sounds the most likely explanation. Raises the profile of the unrecorded cases as well.

We should get to a point where there are significantly less incidents but it seems like there are more.

If nothing else the last 6 months has informed me why black teens wear their pants so ****ing low.

so far they have been able to consistently beat the charges regardless of evidence, lets at least wait for a guilty verdict

biggest thing that will lead to change is videos of the murders, everyone has video capabilities at all times now and the bull**** is a lot harder to pull when there is a clear video of what actually happened

next biggest thing is the old racists dying off, every year it gets better as more old ****s die its why Gay Rights has progressed so rapidly in the last 10 years, the youth overwhelmingly support them and the old bigots die off shifting the balance further and further to the right side

obviously wilson got tilted and killed brown. there are a few differences, but the driver, blind rage, is the link.

Serious question stockguy. We are now seeing repeated instances of police shooting black men under the guise of "reaching for waistband" or "reaching for the officer's weapon" that are later shown to be complete fabrications. Like, literally the opposite of what happened.

Does that make you at all suspicious when you hear a case where a black man was shot by a police officer who claims he was reaching for the officer's weapon?
04-13-2015 , 11:33 AM
Is there any technological solution that makes an officer's weapon only usable by the officer?
04-13-2015 , 11:36 AM
Smart gun technology exists. I dont know exactly how dependable the tech is though.

I'm not saying I don't like police. I'm not saying that. I'm saying I'm just scared of 'em. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes, we wanna call 'em, too. Somebody broke into my house once. This is a good time to call 'em, but I didn't. Mmm. Mm-mm. House is too nice. It ain't a real nice house, but they'll never believe I live in it.
They'll be: "He's still here. Oh my God. Open and shut case, Johnson. I saw this once before when I was a rookie. Apparently this ****** broke in and hung up pictures of his family everywhere. Well, let's sprinkle some crack on him and get outta here."

They say, "That's that whole brutality thing." See, that's common knowledge now. See there was a time when only minorities really knew about that. I'm not gonna say white people didn't believe us, but you were a little skeptical. You were a little skeptical. I mean, I don't blame you. And then "Newsweek" printed it, and he knew it was true. In the "Newsweek," White people are like:

"Oh my God.
Honey, did you see this?
Apparently, the police have been beating up Negros like hotcakes.
It's in the main issue."

I mean, really, how could you know, though? How could anyone else know?
You know, I mean, maybe you should've seen something a little suspicious. Don't you think it was, like, a little suspicious? A little suspicious, that every dead black person the police finds has crack sprinkled on them? I mean, come on now.
Come on, man. Who gets shot and sprinkles crack on themselves? Nobody would do that.

You would think the police would be pushing hard for it. What with all the unarmed criminals trying so hard to shoot them with their own guns.

Seems like a generally good idea if it can be made to work reliably.
