I've been hating Assange since way before the '16 election, although tbh it was so many years ago that I don't remember why. My only real impressions in 2018 is a vague memory of JA throwing some sources under the bus and that he's hiding in an Ecuadorian embassy.

There are a lot of legit criticisms of Julian Assange. Hiding in an embassy is a bad one, read up on that.

Wikileaks is obviously good unless you're the type who literally doesn't want to know true information, and a lot of liberals are that type, 2016 happened, and here we are.

Also, to the people who think Wikileaks is bad or propaganda for Putin or whatever it is nowadays. I'm curious, what do you think about the Guardian?

Assange is a douche but I don't "dislike" him. The whole Russian agent thing gets an eyeroll from me. He clearly hates the elite establishment and considers himself a bit of an anarchist, so yeah, he focuses on those who have specifically come after him (Clinton and Obama).

He provided an important public service by publishing the Manning files and other things. Nothing wrong with publishing the DNC's emails -- it showed an important light on how the DNC colluded with Hillary. No, I don't love how he was eager to coordinate with Trump et al., but I still put much more blame on the DNC/Clinton for their loss in 2016 by being all-time terribad rather than their leaked emails.
