i want to tell a story bout white privilege . mine. in regard to police. because i think i get it a little.

not so long ago, police came breaking into my room, insisting i put on clothes and asking me very personal questions. it ended with one of the officers saying

"bro, your wallet is on this table." and then they left.

of possible interest, the police were Hispanic. i won't be offering anymore personal details, but it was abundantly clear to me that i was being given preferential treatment. and i am grateful for that. and not sure where to go from there.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...ing-protester/

Three St Louis police officers send each other texts pumping each other up about beating up protestors after a court decision that let a fellow police officer off of a murder charge.

They go out and do just that, severely injuring a black protestor who turned out to be one of their own, working undercover posing as a peaceful protestor.

If it hadn't been an undercover cop and just been some local guy and it happened to be a friend of yours, imagine how you'd feel about your local police afterwards.

Hell, I'm appalled and it was an undercover cop. I can't imagine how i would feel if it was me or a loved one. Out for blood I suppose.

Not quite a shooting, but:

Two white cops charged with battery over their beating of a 14-year old black kid in Louisiana middle school

There's surveillance video of one of the dudes body slamming the kid

It's a bit confusing but at one point the TV report says the officers claimed the kid was going for the officer's gun and that's why he attacked the kid. The article says the kid admitted to reaching for the officer's gun during the scuffle, but then the TV report has the DA saying there was no evidence that the kid was reaching for a gun at any point, but in any case if the defense is "he was going for my gun so I had to body slam him" then LOL, might as well say the kid was reaching into his waistband.
