I will give you evolution and Religion. What other things do you thing the Dems have intellectual superiority? It isn't economics, or the proper role of government, or foreign policy, or much at all of the political debate.

Dems say they are for big government, and follow thru while in power
Reps say they are for smaller government, but don't follow thru while in power

Judging by the number of people linking it here it has to be fooling various liberal blogs/tweets/facebook stuff

That bastion of liberalism Niall Ferguson. Next you're going to tell me he's lost George Will. CAN AMERICA BE FAR BEHIND!?!? No, it can't, clearly Romney has won if Ferguson is looking for a conservative in the White House.

Kruggers and Ferguson don't get along ldo.

I have respect for Fergusons historical financial knowledge, but the man is nothing but a hack.

This is where we differ I guess. I'm fiscally conservative, socially liberal, but more often than not vote Republican (although I did pick Obama). Politicians get asked these questions about abortion, evolution, etc but ultimately it's irrelevant. Under GWBush the Republicans held the House for 6 years and the Senate for 4 years,,they had the majority on the Supreme Court...was Roe v. Wade overturned? For decades women are asked to wear R v Wade like a noose around their necks, stifling any real debate, because how can a woman vote Republican when they are philosophically opposed to abortion?

The biggest way government impacts me is economic and that's why I tend to vote Republican despite the silly things they say

hmm, so you disagree with Republicans on just about everything but money issues? But still support them? That's just completely sad. I'm so sorry you think that caring for the poor, women, disadvantaged, minorities, and believe that science and empathy are irrelevant. Seriously, I'm truly sorry for you.

Always fun when a couple of self-important tools working for sinking ships have a pissing contest.

The print media is just the absolute worst, especially newspapers. I can't think of a single newspaper columnist who I feel compelled to read. Frank Rich was really good, but he bailed. Now the SERIOUS MEN OF THE ESTABLISHMENT include total idiots including but not limited to:

Thomas Friedman
Peggy Noonan
EJ Dionne
George Will
David Brooks
Paul Krugman
Karl Rove!

I could go on. The only magazine I make a point to read every week is the New Yorker, and even that is complete poo like 1/4 of the time.

Cliffs: lol print media, Glenn Greenwald and Nate Silver 4L

Seriously - it's like a pamphlet. They're in their death throes and will throw anything up on the cover they think will sell a few magazines. I'll spare you the 3-year-old breastfeeding.

Oh well. I like The Daily Beast because of Andrew Sullivan's writings, and it's kinda fun to read David Frum's occasional viewpoints.
