Can I quote this when the house has a "turnover" in 2018?

It's the GOP's own voters who will be hit hardest by this law afaict, but I'm still skeptical that they will be voted out. I mean, this is the textbook definition of a pyrrhic victory, but "**** you, Obama," is a high priority for GOPers, so it may be vote neutral.

To be fair, it's a call back to when Republicans did it to them, but yea, guys, you lost the vote, let's not be so smug in thinking these Republicans will get voted out, when you know, you live in America and Republicans who are transparently scum stay in.

sorry but all of my hatred today is reserved for republicans

i'm ****ing maxed out

Yeah, I'm FURIOUS. I saw my representative on the floor laughing and waving goodbye at the Republicans. I am letting my blood pressure cool down before I call his office ranting. People will die, this isn't a game.
05-04-2017 , 03:31 PM
it's just like these ****ing cowards too, they only go after the vulnerable and people who they think can't defend themselves (poor, handicapped, women, children..)

too bad every american is now affected by this. if you can fade catastrophic injury/illness, how are you gonna reconcile the fact that your mother/wife/sister/girlfriend/coworker/etc can be raped or sexually assaulted and actually have a disincentive to report it now? these people are complete pieces of **** and i've never had a more burning desire in my life for hell to be real

can i use my one time for a second sivel war? i'm ready to go

Rubio is the most corporate owned gutless candidate in the history of politics. Plus he was just elected again. Plus, Americans never hold republicans accountable. Literally 0% chance that he is the deal breaker on anything.

Voted out by whom, the red states that are going to get screwed the hardest? Yeah, that is not happening. They will keep voting red.

Maybe Ossoff can win now. I hope they're cutting ads already.

David Axelrod already claiming that GOP Senators are coming out against it and that it's DOA.

I wouldn't be so sure.

McCain is going to strongly condemn it, and then vote for it.

I don't even understand why that would have seemed like a good reaction. I guess I could have ended that sentence at "I don't even" really. **** err'body
05-04-2017 , 03:37 PM
In a grander scheme, if this passes we can forget about democracy as we used to know it. I mean why give a **** about the people when you can pass whatever you want without any oversight or public feedback? This sets a precedent that may very well be followed on all future bills regardless of who is in power.

You could get Collins and Murkowski on the reduction in Planned Parenthood funding and Rand Paul because he doesn't support anything. Wasn't Cotton against the first draft?

They all had a huge disincentive to report it before this.

Agreed, that was awful.

Of course, cue up the "both sides are awful!" apologists any time something silly like this happens.
