Alright, you get one response from me, and if you aren't genuine in discussing the issue, I'm done with you. I watched two and a half minutes of the video, which was good enough for me to poke two blatantly huge holes in it.
The video is a joke because he took the responses out of context, making it look like white liberals think black people are stupid. Black people in this country are more likely to be poor due to hundreds of years of systematic bias starting with slavery and continuing into modern times with practices like redlining and the inherent racism in the criminal justice system.
It's also a joke because he went to Harlem to ask black people if they had ID. The plight of voters to get ID is not in big cities where they can easily get around. It's in the deep south, where people without a car cannot easily travel to the nearest DMV. In Alabama, they coincidentally closed 31 of 67 DMV locations - most of them in predominantly African-American counties - after enacting voter ID laws.
According to the ACLU there are currently 250,000 registered voters in Alabama without ID who would now have to travel outside their county to get ID. That's pretty hard to do without a car. Poor people are less likely to have cars (and thus driver's licenses), and black people are more likely to be poor based on the aforementioned systemic issues.
The GOP game plan is:
1. Require voter ID.
2. Make it harder for poor people and minorities to get that ID.
If you're really curious about the issue, you can do some research and find all sorts of tactics that have been put into place in the south to make it harder for African-Americans to vote since the VRA was allowed to lapse.
