Nope. GA 6 one of the most educated districts in the country. SC 5th one of the least.

If the Repubs keep control of the Senate then probably he won't be effective. GL with all that. No matter who wins this is all about getting good publicity
Dems need turnout to be high and people that held their nose and voted for Trump last November to vote Ossoff now (or just not vote at all).

Russia might have introduced some efficiencies into the process. They probably had the final votes tallied weeks ago.

NYT has some interesting statistical extrapolations and also mentions whether votes from election day (vs. just early voting) are being counted yet: https://www.nytimes.com/elections/re...recast-section

Not sure if slowponied but of Americans top 15 most educated districts, Georgia's 6th district is the only one which is Republican. Though the real surprise is a Republican district made it at all.

Anybody know which precincts we should keep an eye on?

It's two, but your point stands.

Twitter chatter and predictit are both signaling an obvious Ossoff loss.

NYT Predicting a big enough turnout in Cobb to give Handel a .8% victory

NYT has it pretty close

This ****ing NYTimes speedometer is giving me flashbacks to 2016 general election night.
06-20-2017 , 08:11 PM
Ugggh, this is just like looking at the Florida map on election night and realizing that the remaining votes just aren't likely to get there.

Edit: and on top of that now I have to deal with a dead ****ing pony

Yeah, it's certainly not an obvious loss, but there has to be some mystery votes somewhere breaking Ossoffs way to pull out a win.
06-20-2017 , 08:13 PM
He's going to lose by like 4. Ridiculous considering he did better than that in the first election.
06-20-2017 , 08:18 PM
That NYT needle moves without new results coming in. That's irritating.
06-20-2017 , 08:27 PM
I'm pretty sure the code behind that needle includes at least one RNG.

does CNN have their army of political analysts on for this or did they all quit after the 2016 election? (except for the andrew jackson guy)
