Trump did not win any of the debates.

Took 1.5 hours to vote today. By far the longest I've ever had to wait, but then again, this is only one of two polling places for early voting in the county.

Yeah GOP is gonna make it a pain in the ass to vote from now on. It's gonna be a whole different ballgame from before.

There's only one polling place for entire cities.

narrative
liberals and black voters just didn't turn out to vote for this election.

I'm constantly amazed at how long people in the South have to wait to vote, and if it weren't for 2p2 I would be oblivious. I've never had to wait more than like ten minutes on those times when I don't just mail it in. 1.5 hours ought to be scandalous in a first world nation.

In Alabama when they instituted strict Voter ID laws to suppress minority votes, they closed 31 DMVs--ALL in majority black counties. When pressed on the issue from all sides, they came up with a "compromise"--the DMV's in those areas would be open, one day a month.

Yeah, you read that correctly. One day a month. And that's supposed to be fair.

In Canada I've never had to wait more than 15 seconds to vote (literally)

Same. Even when the parking lot is nearly completely full and it's packed inside the local high school gym, I'm waiting a maximum of 2 minutes.

He doesn't have to win the debates overall, just in specific areas, which he clearly did.

Talking about winning the popular vote is like declaring your team got more yards in a football game your team lost. It's annoying and irrelevant.

The only acceptable reason for bringing it up is if you're talking to trump directly because it'd needle the hell out of him.
Yeah, he appealed to the dumb people by spouting nonsense.

The most hilarious part of which is people like you thinking that was part of his master strategy all along, and not that the reason be spouted nonsense was because he's just as dumb as the rural cornflakes who voted for him.

As a proud rural cornflake it wasn't because of stupidity, he offered a (definitely wrong) vision, she offered nothing. The non racist votes just figured they were freerolling with the not nothing idea. It was that simple.

Keep being a condescending ******* with wrong opinions though, that'll surely get rural voters in the next election.

Yeah, I'm going to have to classify any thought process that comes to the conclusion that "Trump is a freeroll" under some flavor of stupidity.

To be fair:

1) This IS early voting, it's not the actual election day. There are WAY more polling locations on the real day. This was also the first day this specific location was open for early voting and it was a Saturday, when people are more available to vote.

2) Mail-in was an option.

3) On regular election days, I literally have no wait. On the busiest, MAYBE 5 minutes, tops.

I've been a background extra in movies and TV shows tons of times. I just pretended I was on set.

I don't understand why this is such a shock to people in this thread but it turns out people don't vote for a message of "Your life is great" when they don't feel that way versus I'm gonna bring back all those jobs you lost (not true ofc) but how do you think people out here are gonna vote if that's the main message they get?

It's really annoying politics and political discussions have gone full tribalism. I think we're a lock for some russia style oligarchy either way and that saddens me; maybe we've always been and I never noticed before though.

Ossoff is polling better than I thought, but dems typically overpoll so *shrugs*.

Right, while living in the most successful country in history and the current #1 economy in the world, you favored someone who wanted to rip it all apart rather than the one who promised to continue all the successful policies that got you there. Good thinking! Except of course now you're about to learn that when you're number 1 and you change course there's only one direction to go, and that's DOWN. It's cool though, the rest of the world will be happy to take your place, I can assure you.

As for the condescension, I know most of the rural snowflakes need their safe spaces away from elitist ideas like 'math' and 'economics' and stuff, so I'll try to be a little more tactful in the future.

For many years I lived in a county of 480,000 people, and never took more than 10 minutes in and out the door; usually more like 3 or 4.

That's literally only because most Republicans vote on election day and most Democrats vote early. If it were the other way around it would be really easy to vote early and really hard to vote on election day.

There is no metric by which trump won the debates. Wheatrich mistakes the outcome of the election as a scorecard on the debates themselves.
