I'm down for spectacle creation.

It'll be funnier if we all dive in at roughly the same time imo.

forum trainwreck please thanks!
02-15-2009 , 10:21 PM
ugh! That site looks like ****!
02-15-2009 , 10:45 PM
yeah we're gonna need to find one thats somewhat easily navigable...that's a trainwreck

This is not just low content, it's NO content. I just need to post it somewhere.

After seeing his HBO special, I was looking for more stuff from comedian Bill Burr when I stumbled up on this

NSFW - language

Quote:
After being the third comic to be booed mercilously at Opie and Anthony's Traveling Virus, Bill Burr pays the Camden/ Philly crowd back by tearing them a new one.
From now on, when he goes on stage, it should be to AC/DC's "Big Balls."

OK, if we do this we need some sort of plan, with assigned roles for everyone. Really orchestrate maximum wackiness at the target site.

I know it's fun and all to talk about, but do not attack another forum. That's what the little "invasion" plan amounts to. It will turn into a ****storm. How long do you think it would take for them to figure out where you came from and respond in kind or worse?

Not a good idea.

After the forum Senate I have to say that the attempted organization of this endeavor truly is the triumph of hope over experience.

Also, Boro is right.
02-15-2009 , 10:58 PM
How does us arguing our points logically on another forum = "an attack?"
02-15-2009 , 10:59 PM
imo it is just stupid

Practice makes perfect. The first one might suck. The third one might suck. But the tenth one....that's money in the bank.

You guys worry too much. Worst case scenario, another forum bombs this one, 2p2 registers a ton of new traffic, a few decent ones stick around, and you (Elliott) get to crack some heads.

Win/win/win.

Forum blowback?

You don't think a horde of libertarians and anarcho-capitalists "invading" (not my word) a den of socialists isn't going to look like an attack to them?

Mmmmk.

That's why I said we should have a plan. Some of the people should be designated "WHO WILL BUILD TEH ROADZZZZZ????" types. Hmm, on second thought, the designated forum will probably have a bunch of those anyway.

Just pick some random hobby out of a hat, find their webforum, and see if they have a politics section (lots of hobby forums actively prohibit ANY political discussion in their off topic forums, for obvious reasons).

I bet the model trains politics forum is THE BOMB.

One forum I used to frequent went so far as to create a completely separate "underground" version (a distinct subdomain, independent VB software/database install, etc) to put their "inflamatory topics" such as politics and their version of "about the forums" which also included "the mat" which is the greatest sub-forum ever... it was basically what I've tried to get implemented here as the "personal attacks, unsubstantiated rumors, and mudslinging" forum.

Good times.

I agree with the 'random hobby politics forum' strategy.

I also think Borodog should play.

I'll have no part of this; no good can come of it.

I witnessed the Paultards at Ron Paul Forums try to evangelize to a forum of rabid, slathering neocons. The response was a predictable hatefilled smear/flamefest.
