The only person on the list who is opposing big orange atm is Rosentein. A write-in for Wray would also make sense but there's no way to know yet if his show of integrity over the memo bs is real. Most of the others have embarassed him but survived by showing some level of submission.

losing 2 fbi directors within a year definitely screams innocent

Hicks will get the boot with Papadopoulos treatment if Der Fuhrer feels threatened.

To lose one FBI director may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose 2 looks like treason.

Don't you have to get rid of Sessions first to get rid of Rod?

Poland's Senate has approved a controversial bill making it illegal to accuse the Polish nation or state of complicity in the Nazi Holocaust.

The bill amendment, which sets fines or a maximum three-year jail term as punishment, must be signed off by the president before entering into law.

President Andrzej Duda says Poland has the right "to defend historical truth".

The country has long objected to the use of phrases like "Polish death camps", which suggest the Polish state in some way shared responsibility for camps such as Auschwitz. The camps were built and operated by the Nazis after they invaded the country in 1939.

But the more contentious point raised by the bill is whether it will outlaw references to acts of individual complicity by Poles with the Nazis - something historians say there is clear evidence for.
Although I'm Jewish, I tend to cut Poles some slack in regards to possible collaboration, since their country was pretty much prison raped by both the Soviets and the Nazis.

That's one way. I keep hearing people suggest he can do it directly too. A quick search gives

Trump could order Rosenstein to fire Mueller, fire Rosenstein if he refuses, then repeat the process with the official who would be elevated to fill Rosenstein’s position. If that person also refuses, Trump could repeat the process through the line of succession until someone does as he says. This is largely what happened in the "Saturday Night Massacre" of 1973, when President Richard Nixon ordered three Justice Department officials to fire the Watergate special prosecutor until one finally agreed. In another scenario, Trump could fire Sessions, with the expectation that Sessions’ successor would seize control of the case from Rosenstein -- and fire Mueller. Under yet another scenario, Trump could order the repeal of the special-counsel regulations, then fire Mueller himself.

BTC currently 60% below its December peak. I, for one, am shocked that charts have been perfectly following the classic bubble model.

Legal people,
Is there any real difference between states that ignore federal marijuana law and Idaho ignoring Obamacare rules? I feel pretty hypocritical being fine with the first, but outraged by the second.

Leaving aside the moral issues for now (although you should actually not leave aside the moral issues!), they seem the same. States are not responsible for enforcing federal laws. Maybe there's some nuance that makes them different, but mostly it seems like Idaho playing for attention. I would have expected that big insurers DGAF what the Idaho Department of Insurance thinks and are mostly worried about federal rules anyways.

It's entirely legitimate to say that sometimes state's rights deliver outcomes you like and sometimes they don't. Being ideologically committed to state's rights just for the sake of state's rights is sub-optimal and in the real world everyone flip-flops on this issue. Even as the South was preparing for war over state's rights they were gleefully insisting that federal fugitive slaves laws should overturn New York's anti-slavery laws.

So "the memo" is just like a derpy right-wing chain letter, right?
