As I've said before, I'm very skeptical of attempts like this one to quantify judicial ideology. The data analysis that underlies this graph might as well be witchcraft for all the resemblance it bears to a genuinely scientific approach. That said, my personal sense is that Gorsuch will likely be more closely aligned with someone like Roberts given their shared strong views on
Chevron. This would be consistent with Trump's overall project of attempting to dismantle the modern administrative state.
