I honestly wouldn't put it past 4chan to be the first to track down the two suspects.

That sort of crowd sourcing can have an actual future. Have law enforcement examine ORIGINAL material obtained directly from cameras of bystanders (increasingly more difficult to verify that nothing has been doctored in this day and age) and security cameras. Have them narrow down to a small number of OFFICIAL suspects.

Then unleash 4chan.

Have 4chan/reddit go rogue on random images from the internet, is LOL at best and super dangerous at worst.
