That sentiment is deplorable and betrays a fundamental lack of empathy and humanity.
Actually I think pretending like this is somehow more important than the infinite number of worse bombings that have happened daily overseas for the last 11.5 years is pretty callous. Maybe because I actually cared about what happened overseas in the first place I'm pretty calloused about events like this.
So yes when something like this happens my first thought is "Please don't let the person who did this be a brown person who was trained in Pakistan." Am I grossly offended by what happened? Yes. Am I appalled? Yes. Am I shocked? Absolutely not. I honestly expect an event like this a year. Lately they've all been carried out by home grown crazies though.
And every time it turns out to be home grown crazies I give a sigh of relief... Because if a home grown nutjob did it we don't have casus belli against some other country.
