The most direct influence on the US founders' concept of freedom of religion may have been Genghis Khan. And that's not just a long weird circuitous path from GK to 18th century America. "The History of Ghengizcan the Great" was published in 1710 and was read by Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson, who bought many copies and gave them out as gifts. Other schools of thought from the enlightenment about freedom of religion had more to do with the freedom of churches to operate while GK, as described in the aforementioned book, protected individuals' right to practice as they pleased. In typical GK fashion it was a capital offense to infringe on an individuals religion.

I’ve had a few weird advertisements about things I’ve never searched for (at least not that I remember although there is a chance I forgot) that have come up as ads.

Also if you don’t mind me asking what type of mess are causing this? Just curious as I’ve had the same effect but I believe it was mostly caused from withdrawals from opiates(wasn’t taking them for medical reasons) and general higher anxiety due to my long term withdrawal symptoms
