Well I can honestly say that I was transported to Kansas against my will in my teens. Earnest hemingway once described Johnson county as a land of wide lawns and narrow minds. I would describe it as a land of wide lawns and narrow minds and spaceman bryce because I can't leave.

anyone can and should leave kansas if they can save enough for an apartment deposit

Well I've reached the point where I'm close to drunk so I wanted to add the truth is often paradoxical.

Politics is other worldly right now like totally otherworldly but it is masked by the fact that the good guys are for the most part still winning and also masked by the fact of trump. Like I don't think most people understand what is going on right now and it will probably be ok but probably is 60% instead of 99%.

Happy New Year. Already 2018 here. Australia wins again.

as far as continental US goes, the winner is colorado (if you exclude everything east/northeast of denver)

would imagine nothing beats hawaii tho

the florida keys are quite beautiful, but i'm also biased because it's saltwater fishing paradise

The middle third of CO is pretty awesome. The east and west bits, notsomuch.

yea grand junction mostly sucks, it's like the gateway into the barren hellscape that is utah

driving from las vegas back to denver after getting rekt at WSOP is pure misery

inexplicably, some people actually enjoy driving through utah. **** that. would still take it over OH or PA tho

Not really. The Sierras are just as dramatic. Imo individual mountains like Shashta or Mt. Hood are more beautiful and as far as a The Rockies go, the best area is probably the Tetons in Wyoming.

Utah is about 1000X more scenic than the flat cornfields of Kansas/Nebraska/South Dakota. The best areas are going to be more controversial, but I think those 3 states are easily bottom 3.

How are you all sleeping on OK for WOAT?
12-31-2017 , 12:42 PM
Google images for "scenic Oklahoma" crushes "scenic Kansas". All I've seen of either in person is from driving straight through.

Who the **** has ever been to oklahoma?
12-31-2017 , 12:55 PM
Really. You're supposed to fly over those states. Nebraska and Kansas are third-world America.

LonelyButRich hasn't been in Politics lately, but he could answer about the highway views. He's a long distance truck driver.

Don't lock the Trump thread. It's an important, ongoing historical document of fail.

Sure, or people can still call their shot even if there is no poll, and no.

could have the OP be the same, and then include a link in the OP to the previous thread

No one has mentioned actual woat yet, Indiana. It’s everything people say they hate about Kansas only worse. The difference between highest and lowest point can’t be more than about 3 feet
