FBI Director James B. Comey also acknowledged the existence of a counterintelligence investigation into the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election, and said that probe extends to the nature of any links between Trump campaign associates and the Russian government. The acknowledgment was an unusual move, given that the FBI’s practice is not to confirm the existence of ongoing investigations.

republicans keep saying this is a "bipartisan" committee, but not a single one has asked a question of any substance whatsoever, their whole intention has been to try and go after "leakers", obfuscate the IC's findings wrt russian involvement in the election, and downplay any links to trump and his people

This is what authoritarianism looks like. It's not just Trump. At this point this entire Republican party has authoritarianism all over its hands.

Welp, I'm way more terrified than I was yesterday. Another day into the nightmare spiral.

I have not been briefed but I have seen no evidence of this.

i wonder who they will support

How come all these cabinet members lie in their confirmation hearings and they're not required to resign or even come back and testify again? If I did that in a job interview I'd be fired in a heartbeat.
03-20-2017 , 01:08 PM
Comey basically dodging everything related to Russia. No surprise.

He didn't seem to have the same level of careful consideration when he actively violated the Hatch Act during the 2016 voting period in an effort to defeat Hillary Clinton and get Donald Trump elected.

CNN going with this headline:

FBI: Russia wanted to hurt US and Clinton, help Trump

When clicked on, you get this article:

FBI confirms Trump-Russia inquiry, finds no evidence of Trump wiretap claims

C'mon man. They don't even post any of that in the article. Dirty clickbait move.

They're plenty happy to talk about leaks but they don't even seem to know the BASICS of the Russia investigation.
03-20-2017 , 01:13 PM
Einbert, why the whataboutism?
