I was thinking the same thing as you all were describing McCain in this hearing. The truth is a substantial portion of people lose a sizable amount of their mental capacity as they age, even if not directiy diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's.

The most fascinating guy to me right now is Norman Lear. He is 94 and on the ball, aware of pop culture, well spoken. But he is the super exception. 90% of the people 25 years younger than him are much less mentally capable. I am careful not to let my experiences caring for a severally afflicted Alzheimer's parent for years. There is an absolute issue and we can't just cry ageism and give it up.

I don't know if you were being a bit flippant but I really do think the governance of our country is severely impacted, negatively, having so many elderly men.

That we basically had two 70 year olds facing off for a potential eight year job was singularly pretty stupid. That the third most likely candidate was also basically that same age is not good either.

We have a weird dichotomy in this country where we really do a horrible job of taking care of our elderly mixed with having too many age incapacitated politicians.

If you grew up in NJ then you know no matter how I voted HRC was going to carry the state. So I could in clear conscience vote Garry Johnson.

Why are you peddling this non-legal non-sense? Dershowitz's view is not based on the law. It's what he wishes were true, and that's not how evidence works.

Yeah. His point was that the Hillary campaign had been cleared of involvement in the Russian hacking while Trump's campaign had not. And that both should be under equal suspicion simply because both were candidates in an election affected by hacking. So the premise was absurd to begin with, and the presentation was....well...not so great.

I thought it was even more weird when McCain put out a news release later saying his line of questioning went "over our heads" and that what he really wanted to ask was whether Comey felt the president had obstructed justice. And that he was going to ask Comey for a written response to that question. In fact, that question had been asked and answered earlier in the hearing. McCain just missed it.

Isn't that every Fox News audition ever?

McCain isn't even on that committee. It's like they brought in a ringer to put them over the line at Physics Bowl only to discover during the competition that he's actually a social work major.

lol why don't you just tell us that Trump's all good because his lawyer said so? His lawyer has exactly as much cred on this matter as Dersh

I just finished watching the Comey hearing. The McCain questioning was not as bad as I expected. Perhaps that's due to lowered expectations. His line of inquiry was poliderp, which seems standard, and he misspoke a couple times. I wouldn't expect him to start finger painting with his own feces based just on that.

Dershowitz has been full of derp lately, pushing an idiosyncratic views, but he's much better than Trumps's lawyer, and if Trump could afford him he should hire him.

LOL at the lawsuit that supposedly is going to be filed over the leaked memos

I assume Dersh doesn't do pro-bono work.

He is, ex officio. (Presumably because he chairs the Armed Services Committee.)

Well, it was worse than I expected. President Comey is the one that kept him a little on track.

His handlers knew how bad it was and he sent a worse tweet that he was up late.

What about if he stayed up late and then the next day had to make a decision on war.

From just this interaction, he clearly appears to have some type of issue. Could be a one-off thing I guess. But I am sure he stays up late a lot.

I'm guessing it's a PR stunt to save face amongst the supporters. No lawsuit will actually be filed as it would easily be dismissed. Just something to go on the attack with in the public's eye

Saw this shared on FB and thought it was hilarious.

In case you missed the Comey hearing, here's the summary:

Comey: The president makes lies when he talks and did the bad thing everyone thinks he did.

Everyone: *gasp gasp oh *****

Trump Fans: THAT DONT MEAN NOTHIN.

Republican Senators: What about how hillary clinton did a bad thing?

Comey: ...

Democrat senators: Did the president do the VERY BAD THING!? Will you say so!??!

Comey: I can't say that, it's a special kind of fbi secret

Republican Senators: Are you like....SURE he did the bad thing?

Comey: Yeah, he obviously did the bad thing.

Democrat Senators: Would you say we should under arrest him for doing the bad thing?

Comey: That's not my job to say. I got fired from being a policeman for telling on him doing the bad thing. Now there's another old man special policeman who will help you do it.

Senators: So is russia doing a bad?

Comey: Yeah, Russia is doing such a bad.

John McCain: I'll have the soup

Comey: Here is your soup, sir.

John McCain: Seems like a double standard

Comey: For the soup?

McCain: Who are you? I'm cold. Is this my house?

Can we stop this game already? You pretend to be looking for some smoking gun event, while ignoring all the cumulative evidence AND all the available "process" crime data currently on file now.

Remember the arguments against evolution? It's the same joke of a game. Some people are still waiting for an imaginary missing link to emerge as the real evidence whizzes by.

Anybody paying attention knows that stalling is an epic fail. **** is moving quicker than before. Trump's actions and verbal attacks against anyone who doesn't fully support him are having a huge negative impact on us all. The cracks just started showing bigly and it's been getting worse by the day.

WAKE UP! It's no longer about what Trump promises. He's a liar's liar, and the campaign ended a long time ago. It's what he DOES that counts. And that track record is pathetic for President Trump.

You guys are putting on a strong face here, but this has to be killing you inside.

At what point do you give up and just accept that Trump is going to be your POTUS until 2021(2025, probably)?

You cannot impeach someone for being bad at politics.

Every day since Trump was elected is the same story. Trump does something odd or uncouth. Libtards collectively scream, "WTF! HE CAN'T DO THAT AND GET AWAY WITH IT!" Mainstream media goes wall-to-wall with his latest buffoonery and nothing really happens. Rinse and repeat with new weekly topic.

You ripped on republicans for the same silly outrage over Obama. When will you realize that WAAF and there's no meaningful difference between you and the morans who vote republican? Go forth, make friends with the enemy. Bike to work if you want to save the planet, and encourage your friends and family to volunteer at a shelter if you want to make a meaningful impact on someone's life. The people in Washington give very few ****s about anyone but themselves. It's all a game.
