Conservatives tell me that Comey told the truth about his conversation with Loretta Lynch but lied about everything else. Grandstander!

McCain was up past his bedtime last night

What's it like knowing you voted for a corrupt clown such as Trump?

I know, I know, you didn't vote for him. Surrreee!

What are your estimates of the probability of the following events:

1) Trump is impeached before the 2020 election.

2) Trump wins the 2020 election.

?

I personally think 1 > 2, but it is close.

Also I think both are probably <= 10%.

Oh his lawyer said that? That's good enough for me.

I'm quite certain that Comey answered the question of whether he thought it was obstruction of justice. He said it wasn't for him to decide. Maybe McCain should watch a replay of the hearing if he can stay awake.

I actually agree with this, solely based on the numbers. There's no way the Dems get 65 +2 in the Senate before 2020, and nothing short of that ever convicts Trump. In fact I'll be shocked if Dems retake the Senate in 2018 based on the fact that they are defending like 6x the seats that the Reps are defending, several of which are in states Trump won.

what is the source of that mccain statement?
06-08-2017 , 02:55 PM
1) 30%

2) 40%

I don't know but it looks like a news release from his office. CNN made mention of it.

1.) Zero - he would step down before impeachment but I put that at less than 5%

2.) 50/50 depending on who he runs against and what takes place in the next 3 years.

yeh mccains talking was a bit of a mess. the woman running against him in the election actually tried making a point out of his age.

You guys really don't think impeachment will happen if/when Mueller comes out within a year coming to a conclusion of obstruction of justice along with many members of Trump's cabinet having illegal contacts with the Russians? Even more so if Trump is implicated in those meetings?
06-08-2017 , 03:04 PM
lol if that statement is true

What kind of professional blame **** ups on watching baseball?

I don't care what you think. I told you who I voted for.

If you've been in the NY Metro Area for the last +30 years you would know never to count him down. For whatever reason he always seems to come out the other end smelling like roses.

That's a big word. Will there be a "process" crime from someone, maybe. Enough to bring impeachment hearings? That's just wishful thinking.

its going to be largely dependent on his approvals and how much of a burden or plus he is to the party. its mostly political

Wow I agree with this too! Of course it would have to pretty much be a lock that he was getting got before he stepped down as it was for Nixon. Otherwise I think he hangs in there like Clinton, let's the Dem-controlled House file there little Articles and the GOP senate bails him out.

We better go out and play the lottery today...

Only reason he's not impeached and removed now is because Republicans have zero integrity. That's an odd thing to brag about.

If Dems take the house, I have to put impeachment at like 95%. As we saw with Bill Clinton, you can impeach for literally no reason at all.
