when else in history has the president had to launch attack ads on his own FBI director?

that's trump's prime tactic: accuse others of your own weaknesses

Also, if Trump is trying to wine and dine two key members in the senate who will be questioning Comey, isn't that like infinity times worse than Bill Clinton meeting Lynch on a plane?

Comey's prepared remarks are up:

Quote:
I replied that I loved my work and intended to stay and serve out my tenyear
term as Director. And then, because the set-up made me uneasy, I added that
I was not “reliable” in the way politicians use that word, but he could always count
on me to tell him the truth. I added that I was not on anybody’s side politically
and could not be counted on in the traditional political sense, a stance I said was in
his best interest as the President.

A few moments later, the President said, “I need loyalty, I expect loyalty.”
I didn’t move, speak, or change my facial expression in any way during the
awkward silence that followed. We simply looked at each other in silence. The
conversation then moved on, but he returned to the subject near the end of our
dinner.
Incredible.

Are you suggesting we might hear TRUMP'S MUSIC in the Senate tomorrow?
06-07-2017 , 08:01 PM
Well, I guess Comey sort of spoilered his own testimony with a pre-hearing statement. Should still be a fun watch anyway.

Posting for reference, you can make a bingo card if you like for tomorrow for Richard Burr et al. For me personally, I find the right wing propaganda exhausting.

Legal question for the lawyers here:

Wouldn't Comey's oath to defend the constitution obligate him so jam his fork into Trump's brain during one of these dinner dates?

"Comey is a compromised Trump stooge facilitating treason! He must be removed!"

*whiplash so hard my head detaches from my body*

"Orange Cheeto Hitler removed Comey, a dutiful impartial official who was investigating the administration's numerous crimes! It's the Tuesday Night Massacre! Impeach!"

Who are you talking about?

So how many other people did Trump put in this position?

He is referring to anti-Trump people. Many people wanted Obama to get rid of him when he released the letter during the election and are now saying that us getting upset now for Trump firing him is hypocritical. What he is neglecting to include is that Trump fired the guy because he wouldn't end the investigation into Flynn or pledge loyalty to Trump, which are pretty different scenarios. The former being obstruction of justice, the latter going against the oath Comey would take to protect American interest and the Constitution first and foremost.

It's amazing to me that this is how a significant portion of the electorate views Trump firing the man leading an investigation into his administration. The Trump people never cease to amaze me with how stupid and gullible they are.

So:

- Trump is innocent and vindicated
- Trump knew doing this dumb, bad thing would cause so many problems that they only explanation he could have for it is a righteous one because no one would destroy themselves like that without a really good reason
- even some token liberal(s) agree with us
- Clinton emailz
- left wing media enemy of the people

The nice thing for the RNC is that they can keep this on file and basically copy and paste for every future Trump scandal.

45 minutes to go, get your popcorn ready. So hyped.

Really surprised this whole Comey thing has overshadowed the rollout of a plan to privatize air traffic control. Does no one care about policy anymore?

06-08-2017 , 09:32 AM

He's not there for the show. He's there to make a point though his presence.

Nicole Wallace may still be a Republican, but she regularly cuts Trump deeply. Talking about his "Ritchie Rich" signature and how all his sycophants don't give him good advice.

From his own mouth, Comey says no obstruction!
*the next section is devoted to how Comey is a liar and you can't trust a word he says*

Yesterday PBS and the Washington Post were running live streams. I'm sure others will as well.
