Comey fired Comey fired

listening to Mark Levin the past hour or so has been complete bizarro-land. Basically all the D's are hypocrites and hacks, and the Trump admin needs to stay out in front of this to fight the liberal media. It's quite a performance. It's an easy way to lose faith in your fellow man, if that's your thing. Ooh, another LifeLock commercial

They don’t lie to the rubes and tell them that an airstrip made of straw will bring them cargo. That’s an easy lie to dismantle. Instead, what they do is make it clear that the airstrip is made of straw, and doesn’t work, but then tell you that the other guy’s airstrip doesn’t work either. They tell you that no airstrips yield cargo. The whole idea of cargo is a lie, and those fools, with their fancy airstrip made out of wood, concrete, and metal is just as wasteful and silly as one made of straw.

“Sure, things might be bad here, but they are just as bad in America, and in America people are actually foolish enough to believe in the lie! Not like you, clever people. You get it. You know it is a lie.”
Yeah dude - all the liberals I know introspecting the **** out of themselves about this election are EXACTLY the same as the frothy mouth-breathers on Chiefsplanet who think the only thing Republicans can ever do wrong is not got hard to the paint enough - or ever compromise with Democrats on the tiniest thing.

Tell yourself whatever you need to. But the introspective conservative is the exception, not the rule. Where as the dippy low-info liberal is a fairly small subset. It's possible that having more education and believing in science could actually count for something.

This is more urgent, which means it's about Russia (or maybe a new corruption scandal!), which means they want to have dupes and trolls being able to give the reaction ably showcased by awval ITT.

EDIT: NYT reporting that WH started looking for a reason to fire him just recently:

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/05/0....co/jmihYkOao3

Sure but reading the text I would say that:

-Official reason to fire Comey is that he overstepped the Attorney General's authority by announcing that they weren't pursuing the Clinton case

-Reason they want people to get from between the lines: he was fired because he didn't prosecute Hillary.

-Real reason is Trump is afraid of the investigation. The mere fact that he would ask 3 times (!!!!! like how insecure can you be? That's like a tax fraudster calling the IRS a few times a year to ask if they're closing in on him...) Comey whether he was being personally investigated is nuts to me.

Serious question. I don't know the answer. But do elected officials/legislators have no say in closing or opening an investigation of this magnitude?

I also thought this was good news if only that it means they are getting very close to damaging and irreparable information about Russian ties that would doom this administration.

Important to note that right-wing radio has been laying the foundation for something like this for months. Talking about the "deep state" and how "Obama is still trying to take Trump down through the tentacles of the federal government." The radio guys want to radically realign all aspects of the govt to be more closely aligned with Trumpism. Paul Ryan is a bleeding heart liberal to these guys.

Ben Garrison is furiously scribbling out a propaganda poster tying Comey to the Bilderbergs right now.

So does Comey get to catch a ride back from LA on the FBI plane or is it Greyhound time?
05-09-2017 , 08:13 PM
Amash in favor of independent Russia commission.

Erick son of Erick on board.

I saw alert previously that Fox News got this wrong but I don't know the truth so I want to read this thread.

In other words grunch with a shade of disappointment I suspect

Yes, but he's saying the the only chance of this getting correctly investigated is with someone who Trump couldn't plausibly fire. Everyone hated Comey so he's gone even though he's a Republican, and a Democrat appointee would get tossed on purely partisan grounds. Only a principled Republican without the stench of Comey would have survived to continue the Russia investigation, or at least that's his argument

How many Congressional special prosecutors for Benghazi? And this doesn't merit one?

These people are absolute feckless cowards that will roll over and do whatever Daddy Trump threatens on Twitter. Don't get your hopes up.

TRUMP has delivered.
The point is he praised Comey for investigating Clinton, which helped him win the election. Now he fires him for investigating him.

The sad truth is the Senate Intelligence Committee is the best investigation left into Trump-Russia. Yeah, the same committee that spent half a hearing yelling about Hillary's emails and getting curbstomped in Constitutional Law by Sally Yates.

In other words, there will be no more investigation at any level of government.

Hell he told a reporter just a couple of weeks ago that he had full confidence in Comey.
