NPR has been like that forever. Imagine the sort of person who wants to work at NPR and you'll understand why, wealthy, "liberal", coastal suburban types who went to private school with young Republicans that they count as among their very best friends.

My (extremely liberal) friend dated a girl who worked for NPR in Seattle. He barely made it through one party with her coworkers, then refused to ever associate with them again.

I remember when Laura Ingram was a regular on that PBS shouty political panel show.

Dan is not yet smart enough to realize he shouldn't publicly declare himself a white supremacist.

Lol I think I triggered some NPR PTSD in my buddy. I just texted him to ask about it.

You can’t afford to live in Seattle as an NPR employee. They’re all trustafarians. They’re the ****ing worst.

You would say something like “I like these snacks” and they’d say “that reminds me of my travels in Burma - it was so spiritual.”

They cannot comprehend that everyone doesn’t have a trust fund from dad with tens of thousands of dollars in it.

I remember saying to this one total ***** that there was something I couldn’t afford and she looked at me like I was a ****ing alien.

22 people at Unite the Right gets 10x more coverage than Women's March. Science March and all the others - with 10s of millions of people across the country.

Makes sense.

It's a topographical representation of "both sides".

They should have sent reporters to Otakon instead.

The media is enormously wealthy, nearly exclusively wealthy. That explains why white supremacy is "Golly gee, how fascinating, tell me more" but Democratic Socialism gets "Ocasio-Cortez fumbles another question"

The Democrats are desperately trying to defang it, but that Tiki torch **** really did radicalize a lot of people. We've now seen several extremely large anti-"free speech" rallies against these dip****s.

Master race at it again those scallywags.

One of my sisters-in-law works for PBS and she led everyone in burning Trump in effigy the Thanksgiving after he was elected.

Meanwhile in the alternate reality that right-wingers live in. Apparently this attack is from 2017. No matter. ANTIFA is clearly the real menace.

I wanna know what his grandfather did during the war.

I give it like a 10% chance of that being true.

"I keep saying they’re Fascists. They’re not ‘American Communists’. While there’s a hairline difference, albeit there is one. And it always involves Islam."

This is something that Landon Simms retweeted. Grandpa may not have been Sturmabteilung, but you don't just say "is a 96 year old German" if they fled the Nazis. Grandpa was at least Wehrmacht.

I’m guessing he’s happy Trump got his sons remains back from Korea also.

"We didn't think it could happen in Germany either" sounds so much like words being put into his mouth. People in 1930s Germany were well aware that Hitler intended to govern as a strongman/authoritarian, that's what they liked about him.

Capitalizing NAZI inappropriately is right up there with thinking you put an apostrophe in the plural as a tell.

That guy goes on to approvingly tweet about right wing death squads so I think we're done here.

That's what 96 year old former MAGA chuds are going to sound like in 2070: "Deep State agents arresting migrant children and putting them into cages at the border while antifa street thugs beat #MAGA protesters who fought for freedom, we didn't think it could happen in the United States either"

For real, is this some kind of alt-right inside joke? I'm seeing that trend all over the internet.
