Brexit Referendum Brexit Referendum

British pound down about 8%, and FTSE 100 stocks down about 7%.
So average Brit just lost 15% of their net worth. I wonder how many idiots that voted to leave would have done so if they knew they would lose £15k for every £100k net worth.

Seems like all the right wing nut jobs are winning worldwide. New Philippine president is far right extremist, and Trump wins Republican nomination in USA.

Essentially yes. Remain ran a poor campaign based on scaremongering rather than pointing out the many benefits of being part of the EU. They used some weird, questionable statistics like "leaving will knock £38 per week off people's wages" that even Remainer economists thought were a bit suspect.

It didn't help that Corbyn is such an ineffectual leader. The referendum campaign could have been his moment to shine by taking a strong stance and he ****ed it up.

Osborne prob won't be around to enact his punishment budget anyway.

No need to worry. Workers rights are now safely in the hands of boris johnson and/or micheal gove. Well known champions of the people and not upper class oxbridge ***** giving handouts to their rich friends in any way.

Can I judt say some of us didn't vote leave because we are stupid racists.

We voted leave to watch the world burn.

If Boris Johnson takes over as our Prime minister in the Autumn this is going to be the biggest joke that the country has ever seen imagine Johnson and Trump.

So the UK lost 10-15-20% of its wealth overnight? There should have been more fearmongering tbh.

wow. that's insane. imo that really highlights the absurdity of most modern campaigns in demorcatic countries. the UK's grown ups fumbled around and let a question of grave long-term import become a referendum on their own bunk statistics. and they didn't even need to make **** up!

they've been told forever that all unpopular policies were dictated by the EU, so many people have now been sold the illusion that leaving the EU will change some of those policies for the better.
