Brexit hasn't exactly gone as the experts foretold then...
And guess why that is? The government has given assurances that it will compensate NMGB for any losses it suffers through tariffs etc.

Clearly you think this is a good thing. I didn't realise you're a Socialist.

looks like the WALLOONS have been placated and the deal can go through

I'm on my phone so can't link it, but the Guardian article confirmed it.

All I can find is assurances from the UK gov, not actual concrete details of any deal.

Brexit hasn't actually happened.

Lektors magic Manufacturing renaissance happening after Brexit.........oh wait.

In the last quarter.

Construction shrank by 1.4%
Agriculture shrank bu 0.7%
Industrial production shrank by 0.4%
And manufacturing (part of production) shrank by 1%

So more reliance on financial services it is then.

The BBC are reporting the changes to placate them now have to be ratified by the other 27 countries.

Lol EU

It shows how totally skewed the UK economy is that to offset the above Services grew only by 0.8%, but that is in pure cash terms enough to produce 0.5% Gdp.

So the rest of the economy shrunk by 3.1% and Services grew by 0.64% giving us positive over all GDP of 0.5%.

Seems sustainable.
10-27-2016 , 10:40 AM
So growth in UK is 0.5% now.

How's the EU doing?
10-27-2016 , 10:41 AM
Did not realise the weightings were quite this bad.

According to ONS.

The current 2013-based weights are: services 78.8%; production 14.6%; construction 5.9%; and agriculture 0.7%.

so the Walloons standing up for principle and fighting neoliberalism was mainly about getting some protection for their farmers?

Have not checked but doubt Germany manufacturing is collapsing at an annualised -4%.

How do those compare to pre-brexit figures? Shurely those have been going down the toilet for decades?

So CETA is still alive and Nissan invested after all after - goverment assurances but definitely not after the promise of 'financial compensation' no no no, oh no no no.

Who would have guessed?
10-27-2016 , 04:55 PM
So has the price of a pint gone up or down since the Brexit vote?, discounting any inflation, etc.

You yahoos need to stick to the important issues.

Convinced 4 packs of chocolate bars for a quid have reduced in size by 20%.

Will do a scientific test to confirm if I can.
