gotcha, thanks.

I stopped watching yesterday around 2:30 or 3...

I hear Kamala Harris had a good time with the spotlight.

NPR this AM made Kavanaugh's statement seem brief an relatively uninspired

is this a handgun or a rifle?

-- idk, there's really no way to distinguish them

I'm sorry I cannot answer questions unrelated to sportsball coaching

Kavanaugh's emailz

this nomination process being a rubber stamp, the dem's are turning it into a deposition

I have no clue what this email rant is all about.

Leahy is trying to show that Kavanaugh perjured himself in a previous confirmation hearing

Kavanaugh perjured himself and Leahy is asking that the evidence be released, which of course rustled Grassley

How do so many protesters get in?

For that matter, how does anyone get in? Waiting list? Do senators have extra tickets or something?

This is going to get real fun when this lawn thing does in Kavanaugh and we get Amy Barrett instead

Not sure how it is now but when I visited in high school they were open to the public and anyone could just wander in and watch as long as there were open chairs. I remember sleeping through several different ones in the House and Senate.

Don't use the white power sign business to attack Kavanaugh 'cuz it's gonna backfire. Use his awful record, instead.

The hand sign also means "a**h***," "yay, I sunk a 3 pointer" and "I'm a Crip," any of which may have been Zina Bash's intent.

Here's a couple Wisconsin kids who got suspended when their school had a Negro panic:

Read it and cringe.

no, I was involved in the other arguably unconstitutional surveillance program

no, I was involved in the other absolutely illegal torture program

We all know that Kav did this, but does Leahy have the goods? I've had too many calls today to tune in, but I peeked at CNN at lunch and one of the talking heads there said they thought he was setting up here, but if he's got the goods why not just drop the bomb? If it's a set up who's going to finish the kill and when? Seems like they're just chucking a hail mary here.
09-05-2018 , 03:26 PM
Maybe they're hoping they can impeach the guy once they get majority back.
09-05-2018 , 03:30 PM
My understanding is they all have seen the docs regarding Leahy's perjury accusation but aren't allowed to show the public due to being released as "committee confidential".
09-05-2018 , 03:35 PM
If the chair is going to ignore the committee's written rules (refusing to entertain the motion yesterday), why should the dem's honor the committee confidentiality?

What are the repercussions?

Do the senators care more about those repercussions than allowing the public to see what they're seeing, if in fact the materials are so damning?

"we have discovered evidence" whatever the **** that means

It's unlikely to change the final outcome re:confirmation, but I think one of them has to bite the bullet and get that on the record to enable potential future actions.
