(mostly - 3 Mauras in a list of 65 women? what in the ****?)
It's a Marian name, right, and we're talking about Catholics and Catholic high schools I think? Probably common in the community and era.

In a stunning development, Brett Kavanaugh did not try to rape women who, uhh, dated him voluntarily.

I especially like how fuzzy The Kav's memory gets when you ask him about talking to people who work for Trump's law firm a ~year ago, but he's by god willing to bet his entire collection of Nats memorabilia that he wasn't at that random party 36 years ago.

Maura is a female given name used in English, Spanish, Italian, Greece, Scots Gaelic, and Irish Gaelic.[1] It appears as the feminine form of the Roman given name Maurus and as an Anglicisation of Máire, the Irish form of Mary.
Dunno, always thought of Maura as a Catholic name.

Jeffery Dahmer didn’t rape me and eat my heart. He must have been innocent of all charges.

After he denies being at that party they should ask him questions about his realationships with randoms of the 65 women. Where he met them. What their hair color is. If he ever went to a party that they attended and when.

Absolutely. Ireland is full of Mauras.
09-17-2018 , 05:39 PM
But why are these Mauras only coming out now? Seems strange that they waited 30 years to tell us they weren't raped by Kavanaugh.

Note that "maura" is an anagram for "prep school rapist"

This lol. Definitely this.

Of course, he'll just say he doesn't remember his accuser, either.

It's lose-lose for him. He can go memorize the list, but then he remembers those people/parties/etc and doesn't remember the night in question... Or he is being vouched for by people he doesn't even remember, what's up with that?

Ah, how could I forget Maura #8 and the completely different party we met at during the years of our youth.

Senator John Kennedy, Republican of Louisiana, told reporters Monday afternoon that the chairman, Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa, told senators there would be an “opportunity” for senators to hear from Judge Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, in a public setting where senators would be able to ask questions. Both have said they are willing to testify. A Senate Republican aide confirmed that it would be on Monday, effectively delaying a planned committee vote on Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination, which had been scheduled for this Thursday.

I get this, this is funny. I don't get the Kavanaugh is hideous schtick. He looks pretty non-descipt to me.

I can’t believe that some people ITT think that Glenn Sturgis from Cloud9 isn’t getting confirmed along strict party lines.
09-17-2018 , 06:25 PM
I don't know. It's hard to un-poison the well, but I feel like if you were to show me a picture of Kavanaugh that appeared on this page with no context and asked me if he is a good person or a bad person my gut would scream the answer.

From Ryan Grim, who I think first reported the existence of the Feinstein letter: Attorney approached Feinstein and Grassley about federal judiciary employees willing to speak about Kavanaugh and Kozinski, received no response (?????)

Not sure if 5d chess or total idiocy from Feinstein, or if maybe this guy is persona non grata in Washington (see the first bold)

Quote:
Sanai told the committee leadership that “there are persons who work for, or who have worked for, the federal judiciary who have important stories to tell about disgraced former Chief Judge Alex Kozinski, and his mentee, current United States Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. I know that there are people who wish to speak out but fear retaliation because I have been contacted by more than a half-dozen such persons since Judge Kozinski resigned in disgrace.”

Sanai is the California attorney who blew the whistle on Kozinski years before a series of articles in the Washington Post in December finally brought about the resignation of the former chief judge of the 9th Circuit Court over sexual harassment revelations. Sanai has long challenged the judiciary and was deemed a “vexatious litigant” by one trial court, an attempted designation that was overturned on appeal.
Quote:
Sanai told The Intercept that at least two federal employees had information to provide the committee about Kavanaugh, including one who spoke directly with Kavanaugh about it. Sanai said that he did not hold Kavanaugh responsible for Kozinski’s behavior, but rather that his claim of ignorance was not credible and could be contradicted by witnesses.

Feinstein says there's more senators don't know about kavanaugh.
