I like how question g. about the sexually explicit "Easy Rider Gag List" email list wasn't highlighted.

There's a non-trivial chance dems remove him from the bench if they ever win enough seats on the legislature and they've got him doing some really shady #MeToo ****.

He released answers, basically giving democrats the expected '**** you I don't have to answer your questions.'

By Adobe Acrobat’s count, Kavanaugh used the exact phrase “Litigants in future cases are entitled to a fair and impartial judge who has an open mind and has not committed to rule on their cases in a particular way” 54 times, with “cannot provide my views” coming in a close second at 53, and “I do not recall” bringing up the rear, with 40 separate uses.

He essentially didn't answer any of the questions about his finances, though he said his weird debt situation was from home improvement and repairs, not the Nationals season tickets situation. No explanation for how he paid it all off.
09-13-2018 , 07:50 AM
Right, but the answer could be “Donald Trump paid off my debts in exchange for a promise to rule in his favor” and the ******* is still getting confirmed.

The guy is sketchy as hell, a liar and a massive scumbag. It is known. This is a feature, not a bug, in today’s GOP.

SCOTUS appointments definitely seem like something that animates the Rs, and I wonder if successfully torpedoing Kavanaugh might actually drive conservatives to show up in November if they actually feared losing a SCOTUS seat w/o Senate control. Clearly "hey, would you rather have Merrick Garland or Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court?" wasn't very effective at turning out voters for Dems in 2016.
Not for nothing but pretty much every time Hannity got painted into a corner on his blind Trump loyalty whenever Trump said something stupid in the runup to the election, his fallback position was "Well do you want HILLARY filling Scalia's seat?" and they'd stfu and get back to talking about what a disaster Hillary will be if she wins.

I guess she's washing her hands.

I mean...why does someone give her this information and then ask to not have it pursued? I get being torn about it for whatever personal reasons, but confide in your friend, therapist, diary, whatever church leader, cat, OOT...Feinstein? I don't really see a need to protect Senators to protect confidential sources as a practice the way that the press does.

Maybe whatever happened made the idea of Kavanaugh getting to SCOTUS so repulsive to this woman that she felt she had to come forward, but wanted to do so without having to identify herself or add the spotlight to her now.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to derail Kavanaugh while staying anonymous.

I mean, I would be 0/100 surprised if he were a sexual harasser.

Kavanaugh also specified that the dice game in his email “was not a game with monetary stakes,”
Just a really intense game of Yahtzee, I guess.

He's a lock to get confirmed just like Clarence Thomas was always getting confirmed. If anything this gives Repubes a chance to stick a thumb into #MeToo's eye

I've always thought that as long as they are qualified for the job, the President should get to pick whoever that want for the SCOTUS. People voted. Elections have consequences.

Lying under oath and Sexual misconduct should be disqualifying if true.

You're right. Garland should be on the SC 100%. This heritage foundation stooge shouldn't be getting a sniff. The fact that he's a corrupt liar, thief, and rapist are secondary to major issue.

Kinda makes the six figures of Washington Nationals tickets logical if it's related to this.

Quote:
The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.
Quote:
Sources who worked for other members of the Judiciary Committee said that they respected the need to protect the woman’s privacy, but that they didn’t understand why Feinstein had resisted answering legitimate questions about the allegation. “We couldn’t understand what their rationale is for not briefing members on this. This is all very weird,” one of the congressional sources said. Another added, “She’s had the letter since late July. And we all just found out about it.”
FEINSTEIN HAS KNOWN SINCE ****ING JULY

god I ****ing hate her so much

All his life he worked hard to get to the top of the judiciary so that next time he rapes a woman he can force her to carry his child to term. What a tale of self determination.

NOT GREAT DIANE
09-14-2018 , 11:28 AM
Yeah however credible the victim, Feinstein ensured that it won't ****ing matter because she's been sitting on this for two months. Idiot. Did she event remotely refer to it during questioning? I don't remember if she did.
