I don't know which posters are men are which posters are women. But if the people telling Grizy that his ideas about rape are stupid are men, that hardly seems like the sort of "mansplaining" that we need to eradicate.

How are men supposed to respond to Grizy's dumb ass comments on this topic? Shoulder shrug or "let's wait for a women to chime in" don't seem like great options.

What is the end game? Are you hoping that these racist conservatives will be more thoughtful about choosing a "true" racist to follow rather than an "exploitative" racist. Who gives a ****?

Also, FWIW, you can be a racist at heart and also a cynical exploiter of other people's racism. I suspect that's exactly who Trump is.

The end game is to get Trump out of government with the least amount of damage.

"How'd you find me" is on par with "How did you get this number," for the greatest compliment you can give a journalist.

WaPo still does an elite job when it comes to old-school shoe leather reporting. Yeah, they’re gonna find you, bro. It’s what they do.

When Kavanaugh says he was a virgin in highschool and through college, its not that far fetch given his age and peoples attitude toward sex at that time.
Kavanaugh’s high school years predated the AIDS scare.

I’m more concerned what we do with rapeologists who twist themselves into pretzels to defend serial raping.

We need to do something about these people as there is something up there. Anyone who works super hard at defending rapists has something going on.

It’s like if a guy was defending every piece of evidence produced against Jeffrey Dahmer. Like what is going on in that person’s world. Anyone doing that for Kavanaugh should be on a watch list.

Nate Silver: The GOP’s Least-Worst Option Is If Kavanaugh Withdraws — And Soon

Not sure I fully agree with it, but it's an interesting read.

Confirmed. Exact age as Kavanaugh. No worries about AIDS until middle of college.

Remember that the Garland affair was a massive gamble that nearly blew up in McConnel’s face. Dude is a donkey on a heater and he doesn’t know how to fold a bad hand.

Nate is clueless, can't confirm someone new before the mid-terms at this point

I understand that's how you feel now and i agree. But that's not an "endgame". It's like stopping a deadly bleeding and leaving the patient sick with several long term chronical conditions.

Stopping the bleeding is necessary and urgent. But it's far from enough and from being an endgame.

Politics can't be functional to practical matters when 1 party out of 2 in a first-past-the-vote electoral system is completly deranged (and, i might add, while the other is decaying fast).

Removing trump for office leaves untouched whatever allowed him to become president in the first place, and all the people who are actively helping him.
09-25-2018 , 11:23 AM
It's also helpful to make people see how easily exploitable racism is and make them more suspicious of it.

Why do you say that?

Also there is the lame duck period to push someone through.

Or a recess appointment.

Though I agree that there is no way to get someone in and do it the right way (ie not the way they're doing Kavanaugh)

Doesn't matter anyway, he's getting confirmed, they know the snickering will subside eventually like it did for Thomas.

I had sex in high school in the 80s. Nobody was afraid of AIDS because we all knew you could only get that through gay anal sex. I'm willing to testify to the committee about this, but I wouldn't be ready until next week.
09-25-2018 , 11:34 AM
I already said pages ago the GOP just wants Kavanaugh to go away.

They actually do NOT want him confirmed. There is such a high probability that more allegations will come out (just as mid-terms kick into gear) after Kavanaugh gets confirmed that every GOP up for re-election would want nothing to do with this.

I am assuming the GOP politicians haven't drunk enough of their own koolaid to completely lose their minds of course.

Actually, at this point I am sure some of them have lost their minds. But not all of them, at least not yet.
