No.

I thought it was funny that the reason a lot of Nazis didn't show up is because MA is not open carry.

Or maybe because they represent 0.003% of the population...

Why would the news show that? Outside of its newsworthiness for being the smallest rally in history.

Oh... i dunno .... to be fair and balanced?

I guess it is more convenient for the news to simply call them a bunch of alt-right, neo-nazi, right wing extremists and leave it at that since saying otherwise wouldn't tow their agenda.

Great thread. Now watch as we run you out of the forum the same way we ran that clown out of the Common.

Clearly the media is suppressing this group's message of Black Lives Mattering...wait, what?

The Guardian calls them 'a small group of conservatives holding a "free speech rally"' -https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/aug/19/boston-protest-free-speech-rally

BBC calls the event a 'right wing rally', 'conservative rally' and '"Free speech" rally' - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40980175

CNN calls it a 'self-described free speech rally' - http://edition.cnn.com/2017/08/19/po...sts/index.html

NYT also calls it a 'rally to promote 'free speech'' and quotes the organizers in saying that the event was aimed at 'libertarians, conservatives, traditionalists, classical liberals, Trump supporters or anyone else who enjoys their right to free speech.' - https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/18/u...T.nav=top-news

NYT also includes a quote from the guy in the OP video, and provides a link to the full video. This is in their front page story. WHY WON'T MEDIA REPORT THIS???

In conclusion - try harder, you pathetic crybaby muh narratives omg so persecuted ****ing loser.

What are you talking about? To the extent that the media did cover this crew (and they did give them a mention here and there), they said they were the only ones who took part in the "Free Speech Rally" because the more extreme white nationalist / nazi groups decided not to show up?

You do realize that the weirdo senate candidate who is seen speaking in that video was not the one who applied for the permit to protest, right?
08-20-2017 , 09:30 AM
The most amusing thing about these rally's is you get the die hard 500 turn out for the nazis, and it would appear that you get 30000 turnout against that - and it doesn't include the 200000 who think they are dickheads but have other things to do.

The whole conspiracy that trump was an agent for the dems continues to seem real.

First paragraph:

"Donald Trump described anti-fascist and anti-racist demonstrators who converged on Boston as “anti-police agitators” on Saturday, in a tweet that seemed destined to revive the still simmering controversy over his remarks equating the far right and anti-Nazis in Charlottesville last weekend."

First paragraph:

"Tens of thousands of anti-racism protesters have opposed the "Free Speech" rally in the US city of Boston that featured right-wing speakers.

Only article you posted that seems remotely balanced

Title of the article:

"Trump applauds Boston protesters for 'speaking out against bigotry and hate'"

First paragraph of the article:

"BOSTON — Tens of thousands of demonstrators, emboldened and unnerved by the eruption of fatal violence in Virginia last weekend, surged into the nation’s streets and parks on Saturday to denounce racism, white supremacy and Nazism."

You're proving my point. I simply post a video of what the rally was ... and you go crazy. Proof is in the pudding.

I mean, if you wanted people to buy this **** you could've put some effort into it. You only have yourself to blame
08-20-2017 , 01:42 PM
As stated above by others, the main reason that this event was extensively covered by national and international news agencies was the tens of thousands of "counter-protesters" who showed up to oppose the much smaller number of "free speech protesters".

In some sense it doesn't really matter what "message" the right-wingers were proclaiming. If that is what you are pointing out, then that is a very minor point in this story and received more attention than it probably deserved.

I don't care if anyone buys this ****. I'm simply putting it out there. Because with 38K views i can guarantee that almost nobody on this forum or that was protesting the rally has paid attention to it.

The main reason the event was covered was because of the sensationalism and the current agenda. An Indian talking about free speech doesn't fit the agenda as much as a people throwing bags of piss at police officers does.

I live a few blocks away from where the rally and protests took place. Can confirm I saw 0 nazis but thousands of angry counter-protesters shouting at and fighting with police.
08-20-2017 , 01:53 PM
You clowns couldn't even stage a white supremacy rally in Boston are you kidding me. Like, you can swing a dead cat in any random direction in Boston and some townie will call it a racial epithet. 100 people? I could stage a Montreal Canadiens rally and get a bigger turnout than that.
08-20-2017 , 01:58 PM
All of the old school racist townies were gentrified away years ago. Boston is now loaded to the brim with the nearly as intolerable douchie rich liberal college kid demographic. The kind of people that would assemble a crowd of a hundred thousand to protest some weird republican guy's free speech gazebo rally.

And it's noble work you do! Everybody believes you!

Just like everyone believed that this was a "free speech" rally. Lead by a guy who literally famous for suing newspapers that report the truth about him, and rallying for "Free Speech" as a concept. Not for or against any law or movement, just for "free speech".

Story. Checks. Out.

The latter being there is why you didn't see any of the former, a bunch of white supremacists dropped out of the rally because they were scared and/or had outstanding warrants.

You're welcome, *****.

You're talking about these people?

https://www.bostonglobe.com/business...UzK/story.html

They seem like typical right wing weirdos, not nazi/KKK types though. Were there any plans of actual nazis to march, as in Charlottesville?
