Well apparently there are a lot of independents that vote in the GE or so they say and they also say these independents that decided to vote in the democratic primary went heavily for Bernie. So either they like his policies, his honesty, or whatever but I don't see how that wouldn't bode well for him in a GE.

Not to mention Clinton's unfavorables. Her unfavorability outside of the democrats is horrendous. If it were anybody but Trump she would be likely to lose.

Hillary wins OH. How bad is this for Bernie? If he wins IL, would that keep him in a heated race?

In normal times this would be a moon landing but I'll go ahead and say it to clear up this confusion........ a socialist is never winning a GE.

I'd be interested in specifics tonight. I'm watching TYT Live right now:

I'm not sure it's "over over," but just want to know exactly how bad it is. I think they're going to break down the numbers late into tonight's show.

It just shows how far to the right that we have gone that Bernie is considered a socialist.

Clinton is doing poorly in Cook County so Bernie should take Illinois IMO but we will see. I'm curious how the delegate math looks like after tonight but I guess not good at all.

Voting for someone you want (eg Jill Stein) isn't a protest vote, and for the guy in AZ, if AZ is a close call then GOP is losing in a landslide.

Sorry guys, I tried to emphasize how important it is for Bernie to do well tonight - at this point he's a long shot to make it to California alive... notlikethis.gif

Bernie's campaign just doesn't have the reach or organizational depth to compete in multiple big states with big metro areas.

I also remember every other election where mainstream Democrats elected trash cans.

I will still update my "path to the nomination" spreadsheet tomorrow. It will be full of extremely implausible optimism of course, but hopefully it will help clarify what the 2% shot looks like.

It was already pretty bad. He's still likely to win AZ, ID, UT, AK, HA, WA, WI and WY. So, that's 8 in a row. He's going to need to win big in those, but unless something more than that happens it's hard to imagine Hillary not winning the next bunch NY, CT, DE, MD, PA, RI.

At this point I think most everyone knows that Bernie is a nice guy, honest, a socialist, and doesn't take money from special interests. And that Hillary is going to be a regular Democrat.

So, I think we're past the point where just more people getting to know Bernie will do the trick and Hillary will have to **** something up. And that's really not the way I want to win anyway. I want America to be a country that would elect Bernie more than I want Bernie to be POTUS.

I think that voters under 40 are showing that the bolded will happen just not now and obviously it will be someone not named Bernie. I think something important is that Bernie is showing you don't have to take money from Superpacs, etc. to compete and maybe someone more well known could immediately compete someday without a superpac, special interest money, etc. and win.

Yeah Sanders running based on principle now.

America's not ready for a guy like Sanders now. Maybe next decade.

I don't see how Bernie Sanders fans can be so against Hilary. She is very similar politically to Obama and Bernie supported Obama for president in 08 and 12. I'll bet anyone that he'll support Clinton in 16 if she gets the nomination.
