They're turning on his administration. They love Trump though.

One thing I noticed about deplorables is that they hate the government as much as we do. The difference comes from the fact that they absolutely adore Trump. They would love it if his entire cabinet was dissolved and Trump did everything himself.

What fox reports is providing him with his policy. It’s like the secret spy message in the classified ads, except not secret.

The opposite of A Beautiful Mind.

If I wasn't **** at PS, I'd put Trump's head on Russell Crowe's in A Beautiful Mind doing math formulas and **** like that.

I voted for Zinke when I meant to vote for Pruitt.

I'd like to do that in Amsterdam, but not with booze.

Despite the fact that I wasn't in Scotland for December and shut my power off for my entire flat, they have my power consumption the same as November.

Given that my previous bill was £222 for 3+ months, I doubt that this is an accurate representation of the power I consumed.

Even crazier is that I can't see the electronic bill because they have me listed as changing to a different power supplier even though I never did. So I have limited access to my account.

****ing Scottish Power. They're the Comcast of Scotland when it comes to customer service.
After dealing with Italian power bills I can only assume that Europe uses the bones of ancient saints carved into dice to randomly generate records which they then record by rubbing balloons on their ****ing "jumpers" and touching the computer case.

Yeah, I think it's probably about time to find another site to help out with their ad revenue by lurking. This is just embarrassing.

If my memory of Daniel Day Lewis' portrayal of Abraham Lincoln is accurate, and there is no reason to believe that it is not 100% accurate, this claim is somewhat dubious.

KAIST’s President Sung-Chul Shin said in a later statement: “I would like to reaffirm that KAIST does not have any intention to engage in development of lethal autonomous weapons systems and killer robots.”

This however contradicted the university’s stance in a now-deleted announcement that described what the program would focus on: “AI-based command and decision systems, composite navigation algorithms for mega-scale unmanned undersea vehicles, AI-based smart aircraft training systems, and AI-based smart object tracking and recognition technology.”

So this guy must be inputting data wrong. Maybe massively underestimated amount of particles in universe? He suggests humans will have used up all particles in the universe just in what it is we require to physically exist...in 8604 years. Can someone review?

Pretty sure he's a crank.

It's mentioned in one of the very first comments, but population growth can typically be modeled by a logistics curve (if you draw one in a plane is looks like a horizontally elongated "S"). It will approach an upper bound at some point.

Since it's clear we won't be doing much to combat climate change in the near future I don't think we really need to worry about any doomsday overpopulation scenarios. All of the places with high birth rates are probably going to be either deserts or underwater in another 200 years, tops.

Isn't this the old rice on a chessboard problem? If you compound anything it'll take over the universe pretty quickly.

1.011^8604 ~= 10^40, so sure, whatever. That's ten thousand billion billion billion billion. The key question here is, who cares?

When my friends debated in high school/college - various lines of argument would always show X leads to nukes being used, and therefore X must be avoided. Often times it was a ridiculous argument like skinheads would get nukes or something if we don't do Y.

But you still had to rebut it somehow. So another team found the nano-bot "grey goo" article (where all matter in universe is taken over by exponentially increasing nano-bots). They'd argue that nukes are preferable to grey goo, because nukes only destroy the earth.

Now the judge was left with two ridiculous theories that rightfully nulled themselves out.

The Flynn effect is the substantial and long-sustained increase in both fluid and crystallized intelligence test scores measured in many parts of the world from roughly 1930 to the present day.
