You already know that I agree with the idea that mainstream views on the right ought to be tolerable, even when those on the left think those views are problematic. At least within some reasonable bounds of "mainstream".

But the problem with giving augie a forum isn't really that he's a white supremacist or that some right-wing views ought not to be tolerable. The real problem is that his only interest is to troll people on the left. He says he wants to talk about politics, but in reality he just wants to post and have an audience for his trolling.

To your specific questions: calling "brown people from ****hole countries" evil would have fallen afoul of the third bullet point and thus not be tolerated. So might language referring to other immigrants, depending on the specifics. But I'd not forbid literally any posting of support for Trump's immigration policies -- including family separation -- offensive though I find those policies.

I thought one of the reasons we hate Hannity is he has a large influence. I mean, if Hannity is the #1 thought leader/influencer for the party in power, that makes his views mainstream. A forum that enjoys dunking on Never Trumpers who nevertheless did bad **** should understand that.

What you're really asking for is the rightmost quartile of the political spectrum to be excluded. Which might be a good idea, they believe a lot of terrible things. But I understand why a mainstream conservative like Mason wouldn't go for that.
