Good prediction here that for all those who said Trump would love Scaramucci because he's just like Trump; instead, actually, that would really grate on Trump.

He doesn't want an imitator, he wants a sycophant. Trump gets the luxury of telling the ladies how to do the hair and makeup and Trump gets to be the guy that goes on TV and just says what pops into his head and Trump can toss the lawyer's talking points into the garbage and ad lib. But that's not tolerable for his staff. He has much different standards for his charges.

Yep - Sacaramucci took his shot to be Trump's mini-me. Failed spectacularly, but the implied odds of success may have been worth the shot.

I think Trump is super deferential to military guys like Kelly (insert armchair psychology about Trump's time in military prep school here) such that if Kelly insists that if his NY dudebro buddy Mooch has to go, he goes.

Could be. I just thought it was sage to point out ahead of time that Trump actually might really dislike someone behaving just like him. Trump probably saw Scaramucci on TV and thought he could be molded into being servile and useful as a loyal soldier. Instead he got the wrong form of servility: an imposter and a challenger to the throne. If we think Trump is a narcissistic sociopath, hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug. Trump sees himself as transgressive, special, above the norms. Everyone else follows the rules, he insists on that. Everyone has to play-act the disciplined good soldier. Everyone else is expected to treat women with class and dignity. Scaramucci taking on the bull-in-a-china-shop pose perhaps really annoyed him as a form of usurpation. The Trump White House only has one alpha who shoots from the hip and tells the women folk how to dress and that's Big Poppa, he expects his staff to be loyal betas and fall into line.

Or sure, could be that Trump is a flake and Kelly was the last guy to talk to him and told him to fire Mooch and that was that.

Pity poor Anthony Scaramucci: reportedly getting divorced, sacked from his job after a mere 10 days — and now there’s an erroneous report that he’s dead.

The blink-and-you-missed-him former White House communications director is listed as deceased in the new Harvard Law School alumni directory, which arrived in alums’ mailboxes the very week that “The Mooch” became the most talked-about guy in politics. An asterisk by the 1989 graduate’s name indicates that he was reported dead since the last directory, which was published in 2011.
Scaramucci is about to be the very first indictment of the new Trump Voter Fraud Commission. Kudos to Kobach, Pence and Trump if they nailed Scaramucci on voter fraud.

He was hoping to be the David Miscavige to Trump's L. Ron Hubbard.

It's better to burn out
Than it is to rust
The mooch is gone
But he's not forgotten

McMaster wanted to get rid Ezra Cohen-Watnick but got shot down, so not every new military person gets this same deference.

Woah, maybe he really did die and he's been a ghost this whole time.

I could buy Bannon as a necromancer that lost control of his creation.

My personal experiences would tend to verify this.

If we give LSUFreek a category of his own I could get behind this.
