The 2nd Amendment is necessary to protect and sustain the 1st Amendment.

Europeans and Canadians don't have the right to keep and bear arms so naturally they are without the right to free speech.

Europe is actually worse than Canada in this regard, and is becoming worse yet still (see arrests, prison sentences and fines for so-called "hate speech", which in many instances is merely rational criticism/analysis/discussion that happens to "offend" someone).

People who want to outlaw someone else's opinions or to keep views from being expressed are the real present-day Nazi-types.

The EU is fast becoming a totalitarian system; it's a good thing Ireland voted "no" to the Lisbon Treaty, although the Eurocrats will do their darnedest to try to find a way to circumvent that rejection and impose EU totalitarianism.

Anyone doing a real search on fairly recent court cases, arrests, fines, police actions in Europe AGAINST free speech (on the BS grounds of suppressing "hate-speech" or "inciting racial hatred" will be amazed. There are laws against "inciting racial hatred" which are so overbroad it is ridiculous).

The Euro-weenies are getting what they deserve in a certain sense (for being such utter wusses) although a small contingent of brave European souls are not going to go down without a fight. The fascistic Eurocrats will utterly ruin Europe if allowed to do so. England too is about as far gone as Europe in this regard.

Obama wants to outlaw all semi-automatic guns in the USA, which is to say, MOST guns that are now available in gun shops nationwide, he wishes toi outlaw.

You can't say what you think if someone else has all the guns...DUH, LDO, etc. It's so friggin' obvious but many people don't realize what is happening: boiling frog parable, etc.

The world is slowly descending into tyranny and the so-called "liberals" are aiding and abetting this feetfirst slide with both hands and eyes wide shut and mouths agape. Doesn't at least half of humanity realize it is BAD, VERY BAD to have a master other than yourself? Well all the ******s who want to outlaw free speech and guns should form their own neo-fascist country and leave freedom-loving people alone. Don't the slaughters of history mean ANYTHING to these fools? "It can't happen here"...yeah, right, I'm sure that's what EVERY populace/country/whatever thought before their freedoms, rights and means of ensuring self-determination were stripped and they became as serfs or slaves or worse.

I can't believe how stupid so much of humanity is. And of those who are not stupid, I can't believe how many aren't satisfied just living their own lives as best they can, but actually go out of their way to seek to control and dominate others.

This is manifest in many forms but it is increasingly becoming manifest by those seeking to restrict speech and thought.

Sorry to say it but I can't help feeling ashamed to be a member of the human race.
