Lol....sadly the sports hot takes itt are as good as the political ones. But yeah knowing Auburn is in Alabama is probably correlated with a better understanding of the Roy Moore Senate race.

It is effective in that it drives your opponent's likeability way down. Trump was the most disliked candidate in history. What it doesn't do is motivate people to get out and vote *for* your candidate. No one wants to go off to the polling place to cast a vote against gropey guy; people are more likely just going to stay home and tune politics out.

Well yeah, there is no “effective strategy” for a dem to win in Alabama right now. The only reason the republican isn’t going to be 60+% is that the republican is that specifically Roy Moore a rare AL republican that only gets in the low 50% vs generic dem. You’ll probably lose focusing on how terrible Moore is...but that doesn’t mean the strategy is bad because you are always going to lose.

Don’t pretend like not knowing Auburn is in Alabama is a sign of intellectual maturity.
11-26-2017 , 11:15 AM
i literally dont watch college sports, i couldn't care less where auburn is. it says nothing about my intellect and pretending like it does is super LOL

i do understand how it's shocking to the average college football fanatic that not every american male is a washed up old man who can't walk across the house without breaking a sweat

Hilldawg might have been more disliked than Trump. Not only did the right despise her, but many on the left disliked her as well. There were few who were legit enthusiastic about Hilldawg. Trump was hated, sure, but at least he had legit and enthusiastic fans.

I bet you wouldn't brag about not knowing where Cornell is.

is the ability to pass a university geography quiz the baseline for intellectual capacity or something? i dont get it...

Charles Barkley calls out Moore.

Sports analyst and former NBA star Charles Barkley ripped Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore on Saturday, calling the controversial GOP nominee a "white separatist."

Barkley, who is an Alabama native, told reporters at an Auburn football game that Moore should have been disqualified the moment he allied with former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon.

He should have added "he's turrible".

For all of the concern trolling from some quarters about how Dems shouldn't focus on Russia, this is the issue that really is going to be counterproductive for Dems. We even saw this in Hillary versus Trump!

and it's not ruined upon learning that auburn is also in alabama, btw. anybody i've ever known who has any tie to alabama is all about some obnoxious BAMA BAMA ROLL TIDE celebratory shenanigans, so i'm still going to assume there are way more bama fans than auburn fans, and that most of them are sad today.

take the wins where you can get them, since those slack jawed yokels are apparently all about supporting pedophilia

I’m not shocked....I get a lot. A lot of people are poorly educated and don’t know were major research universities are. It’s still pretty lol.

Hill was the 2nd most disliked candidate ever IIRC.

But yeah, Trump gave his crowd a positive reason to pull the lever for him beyond just Hillary hate. Not that degrading Hillary's likeability wasn't a part of his strategy, but there has to be more to it than just "look how bad the other guy is!" Why should black voters in Alabama come out to vote for Jones? What will Jones do for them? That's what Dems need to articulate right now. We already know the other guy is a pedo creep; there's no additional value in mashing that button.

Yeah they don't take points away when you go from disliked to hated.

Obama offered ideas that motivated people to rearrange their day to cast a single vote, same with Trump. The Hillary, McCain, Romney and co dont win elections.

They will still likely make the NCAA Championship playoffs (even if they lose again in the SEC finals). They will still be the number 1 ranked team. The loss was actually not that important to Alabama (although the win certainly was to Auburn), so you are creating a lot of the schadenfreude to fellate yourself. Yeah, yeah you don't care and this changes nothing etc.

They will be as sad as a fan of any team watching them lose a game late in the season before they go into the playoffs as the top seed (regardless of the loss).

Nothing better than dismissing the intelligence of an entire state's population (including the likely 40-50% who vote for the Democrat) in such an impressive and well thought out manner as you have chosen. You are a hero to the cause.

All the best.

P.S. Here is a better game where the evil Alabama team lost, but don't worry where the other team is from
