I doubt we would see the same self-sacrifice in most of America.

As for Moore, I wouldn't be surprised to see right-wing groups pushing out bull**** blowout polls to pressure Moore into resigning.
Most Scandinavians are super chill, it's just for whatever reason the ones who log on to 2p2 are all raw garbage white supremacist 4channers.

Yeah, it had to be like borderline stalker stuff for him to get banned from the mall. Just being 30 and quickly hitting on 18 year olds... there is no way that alone results in a ban. He had to be hanging around the cashier for like 20 minutes with them cornered.

Interesting point about the list order (or maybe not since the author probably didn't go through a rigorous statistical analysis): it implies the odds of Moore winning (assuming he stays in) * the odds that the Senate is serious about expelling him >50%. So if you believe the polls that say the race is a tossup you'd need to be 100% sure the Senate follows through with their threat. 62.5% Moore wins + 80% chance of expulsion also OK. There's no way for Jones to be the favorite (unless, again, the author just guessed at probabilities and got it wrong). Realistically though I think the odds of #1 vs #2 in that article are close. I would personally probably swap the order.

What is the over/under on the number of accusers who will come forward on Moore before the election? I say 12.

haven't been to malmo, but I was just in copenhagen (right across the bridge) a couple of weeks ago and can confirm it's a terrorist hellscape, you can't walk three feet without getting run over by some ****ing hippie on a rusted out beater piece of **** bike

I guess the yearbook doesn’t count as evidence because... reasons.

lol Danes love their bikes. I think they buy the rusted out bikes so that way they don't have to be too precious about them (no need to lock them, get them out of the rain, etc.). At least the Danes I've talked to, that's what they said. Hipster chic is just an ancillary benefit.

They are absolutely savage with them and will run you down if you get in their bike lanes. Those Taxa 4x35 and 5x533 and 5x53 cab driver guys like to dump your ass in the bike lanes for fun imo then watch you have to dive out of the way as you get out of their car.

I just spent 4 (non consecutive) weeks there (split between Malmo and Copenhagen) in August and October. You're a Delta guy right? ARE U ON MY FLIGHTS BRUH

I assume not because you're from the south somewhere IIRC and fly in Memphis or Atlanta if you're talking Delta.

Copenhagen is actually the only Euro city I have visited. What strikes me about the bicycle culture there is Chicago is trying to import it with protected lanes, bike sharing and separate bicycle traffic signals.

To be fair to the Danes, this post could have just as easily been written about the Dutch.

The thing that really strikes me about their biking culture isn't how they go HAM on their bikes and run down any idiots who get in their way.

It's the moms and their incredibly ornate or lavish (or sometimes comparatively ****ty) bike stroller things. I've seen some with like two or three seats and dual levels and they look like tanks. The light turns green and then boom, Mom is out in the intersection out of the gate like a racehorse, she don't care, if a car hits her, her kids are going to be protected. Sometimes you see a stroller carriage thing on the front and the back.

But then sometimes you will see a dad who doesn't seem like he gives a **** and the tyke is just strapped onto his back in a holster getting rained on in 35 degree weather.

I mean, this is certainly the most likely scenario. hes ahead in the polls and all the repubs want to kick him to the curb. the dems cant vote to keep him in bc, yakno, voting for a pedo epheb is obv political suicide.

so he gone and I think its the gov that gets to choose. so ya, repubs will be fine.

If Roy Moore wins, Alabama should be penalized one senate seat for a period of 40 years

Only thing that's gonna happen if Moore wins is he gets seated as senator of alabama.
11-16-2017 , 04:37 PM
you don't think they impeach and hold another special election? Seems like the move easily, they get rid of someone they already really didn't like, get to ban him from holding office ever again, appoint strange or something, and a Republican is a lock to win the special election barring every Republican in Alabama is a pedo.

Plus it looks good nationally. Some alabama voters might be upset, but what are they gonna do, vote democrat? lol.

Has Trump weighed in?
11-16-2017 , 04:48 PM
The democrats could all abstain

They are going to find a way not to hold the election. I predict Stange quits and they have another special election.

The difference is that the Dutch don‘t have to her mad at cardrivers because in their cities Cars and bike lanes are even more segregated than in Copenhagen and in the city centers where there is not enough Space for segregation, bikes are dominant anyway.
The size of bike parking lots in front of train stations is ridiculous.

Uh oh. I guess he'll just have to stonewall for another 26 days and hope his silence really drives voters to the polls.

My favorite thing is when church people who pretend themselves to high standards are super petty.

Throw a rock into a group of Southern evangelicals and you're guaranteed to hit an awful person. Even my religious-and-hyper-conservative mother could not stomach them.
