Alabama Special Election (Roy Moore diddles, GOP thumbs up, Mr. Jones goes to Washington) Alabama Special Election (Roy Moore diddles, GOP thumbs up, Mr. Jones goes to Washington)

The ads against Moore need to be 14 year old girls talking about being attacked and how it affected their lives going forward.

Lou Dobbs:
Rush to judgement on Moore
Whatabout Bill Clinton?
Whatabout Joe Biden?
Hmmm?

"How horrible are the Trump supporters over at chiefsplanet?" asked absolutely no one here. Well, I can tell you for sure that they are the worst people ever:

That's not exactly statutory rape or assault to me. ( Age of consent in lots of other countries is age 12 even. Not that I support that either) Until I have all the facts that matter in the incident it is not exactly something I see all that life damaging. People can and do recover from that. Heck, people have recovered from worse. Haven't you ever had anything bad ever happen to you?

He absolutely got a "talking to" from his bosses. I used to work in [radio] broadcasting. The one guaranteed way to get yourself fired is to piss off your station owner's advertisers.

Just how. How can he be ahead....America sucks. I mean saying he wants gay people in jail and Muslims barred from office should of been more then enough. But no lurking high schools is ok too as long as libs dont win.

Im going to need secession or hard core states rights or something at some point.

Rule #1 of Republicanism is that no crime, hardship or indignity is a big deal unless it happened to you or someone you know personally, in which case it's the biggest deal ever. It's an absolute mortal lock that that same poster would go ape**** if the same thing happened to his 14yo daughter, or sister or whatever. As it is though, since he doesn't know this girl, he can only muster a vague feeling that maybe some more personal responsibility would have helped her avoid her plight.
11-15-2017 , 02:16 AM
Of course that rule has a bunch of caveats that I won't get into - crimes can also be huge deals if they are committed by brown people, or if they are imaginary ones committed by librul politicians.

Wow, there is no bottom to the Republican moral canyon. Like even I who was bullish on Trump's chances a week after Access Hollywood thought OK but now with even the Republican Congress, Trump, and Fox alligned against Moore, a bunch of Alabamans from his hometown saying he totally ****ed kids, and Moore himself basically admitting it, they can't seriously elect him, right? It at least has to be really close. Like wtf was Pizzagate about? It's really bad if your kids get ****ed by a Democrat, but Republicans will give them that good D? Seriously what the ****? It's looking like Moore in a landslide.

Btw, Lol @ all you pieces of **** who got triggered by Hillary saying "half are in the basket of deplorables." She ****ed up, but the other way. To a man, every single one of them, deplorable.

This "poll" was conducted for a Fox affiliate television station in Mobile, Alabama. Fox network affiliates are known for their totally objective, totally unbiased news reporting - as are the Washington Post and the New York Times - so the accuracy of this poll can be totally trusted.

Meh, the Fox News polls aren't like Rasmussen. They're generally legit.

From the Get to Know a Pogger thread:

Obv #2 requires a story but you'll probably have to wait tomorrow for me to tell you more about it.

Cliff notes: I met my wife online when I was 17. She was 47. When I graduated from High School I moved across the country from MD to WA, we ended up moving to MT, where we live now. We're a little weird, but it's the happy weird afaik. I am 27 now and we have been married 9.5 years.

Other topics:

- I work as a computer programmer for a company that sells business software. It's pretty cool.

- I am interested in philosophy, science, and spirituality. Also politics to a certain extent, but I am not particularly dogmatic about that topic. I did volunteer as a precinct captain for the Obama campaign and am a liberal communist pansy, for what that's worth.

- My wife and I are currently in the process of joining the Eastern Orthodox church (Orthodox Church in America). I have also spent a fair amount of time reading about judaism, buddhism, hinduism, and I know a lot of people into wacky new age spiritual teachings. Feel free to ask me about any of it.

- I like poker, but I've never played for significant stakes and probably have nothing interesting to say about it.

- I have played a lot of werewolf games on this site. I'm not that good at it really.

- Before poker I liked to play chess but chess is hard. At my best I was about 1600 USCF. I still play a correspondence game here or there from time to time.

OK shoot. Apologies in advance for the self-indulgence and all that. :P
Absolutely sure you wouldn't claim that WN's wife is a pedophile

So apparently McConnell wants Sessions to be the write-in. LOL.

Are you intentionally trying to miss the point? And where do you go to get trained in terrible false equivalences?
11-15-2017 , 09:04 AM
adios doesn't ever have a point, he just tries to paraphrase whatever his stories told him to own the dang libs
11-15-2017 , 09:36 AM
Technically, it was ephebophelia?

Did his wife molest a 14 year old? Did she try and rape a 16 year old in her car, threaten him with her job title then throw him out behind a dumpster?

No?????

Ugh.

If you are a family-values conservative voter in Alabama, electing Moore gets you an authentically christian representative in Washington and gets the local creeper 1000 miles away from your children. Win-win imo.

... why not? I don't know the specifics of what happened between that poster and his wife, but I can say with 100% certainty that it wasn't healthy for either of them.

With that said, the power dynamics of a 47 year old woman and 17 year old boy meeting online are clearly very different from a 30 something male assistant district attorney molesting a 14 year old girl in person. I'm comfortable saying that Moore's situation is a significantly greater societal evil.
11-15-2017 , 11:41 AM
We're divorced now :P

I'm ambivalent about the question of if being "healthy", but less so about the question of whether or not it was tacky for adios to dredge up an 8 year old personal post from a different forum in order to try to score political points in a thread I wasn't participating in. Then again, it was my dumb ass that decided to post about it on 2+2, so... oops?

Why stop there? Let’s cut a 30 second ad promoting racial egalitarianism, excercise and the hard sciences and turn Alabama into the best state in the union.

Seems creepy and weird to me. I'm officially withdrawing my endorsement of WN's wife for the US Senate.

I gotta say now that Roy Moore has gone and made a parody of himself I like him a lot better. (I literally hate(d) his guts) He was already outrageous enough to be almost-satire. 'And he's a pedophile' is so heavy handed the onion could have written it. Would be a lot less funny if it wasn't true.

It's very unlikely he could be more reactionary than Jeff Sessions when it comes to voting on actual things, so let's get out the popcorn and watch them try to weasel out of this.
