Alabama elected this guy to their Supreme Court twice, lol.
The bolded is a shining example of why state supreme court seats should NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER be filled by partisan election.

Edit

Guess not.
The spirit of the founders says the election is legitimate as long as you don't disenfranchise more than 40% of black voters.

Roy Moore files complaint to block Alabama Senate result says he will touch more kids if he is not declared the winner.

Gotta imagine those donor lists are getting pounded daily at this point.

Not really. My original question was about Loki's view of the legitimacy of the Alabama election. I inferred from his comments before the election that he didn't think it was legitimate and I wanted to know, given the results, if that was still his view and why. If I misunderstood how Loki was using the word "rigged" or "fix," and he didn't mean to imply that the election was illegitimate, my question is moot.

This is why polygraphs are not accurate enough to be admitted as evidence in court.
Note that he did not submit the actual test results or state that he only took one test

Didn’t Moore say he actually knew some of the women originally?

He is limiting this to those named in the affidavit. Maybe he means "know" in the biblical sense. He never got that far.

Why didn't he offer to take a polygraph before the election?

There were also many more accusers. He’s implicitly saying he only passed the test for three of them.

Polygraphs are also eminently beatable. This American Life had a story this past summer about a guy named Doug Williams who spent half his life administering them (as a cop) before disavowing them completely, and he tells you right there in the episode how to reliably beat one. He was also instrumental in getting the Employee Polygraph Protection Act passed. Later he wound up in federal prison for (allegedly) helping someone beat a polygraph.

Definitely worth a listen if you're into such things:

The guys on Mythbusters tried using a bunch of tactics to beat them and couldn't

Good enough for his supporters to say "But he passed a lie detector! HE'S INNOCENT!"

Never mind that he never provided the results.

"Alabama Association of Polygraph Examiners"

Real or Onion?

That was like a non-concession concession.

I think this clown is going to start a church and get rich off of the offering plate. o/u 6 months until "Reverend Roy 'The Judge' Moore" is making appearances on Fox?

Under, by about 5 months. I expect to see him on Fox, and possibly even his own show, by February.

Fox may have no scruples, but they ain't stupid. You can get a similar message without his baggage from any number of places.
12-29-2017 , 09:43 AM
The baggage is the message. The tribal signal that 'we hate liberals so much that we'll pay this disgusting backward evil pedophile millions because he upsets them'.

Fun fact: He has also to this very day not conceded his losses in 2006 and 2010 gubernatorial primaries

It really shocks me that sort of ego-mania (which is also very evident in Trump, LDO) doesn't seem to bother voters that much.
12-29-2017 , 02:28 PM
Its the same mentality that many Trump voters have that every problem they face is someone elses fault.

This lady seems mad.
