Laugh out loud at the people who think the Ted Cruz, Beto O'Rourke contest will be close.

Prediction: Ted Cruz will prevail by double digits.

Skeptical side of me still thinks Cruz wins...

But I would snap snap take Beto +10. That race is going to be HUGELY contested with a ton of money put into it.

So how important is voter turn out for the primaries? Anyone got an opinion from the numbers today in Texas?
03-07-2018 , 04:06 AM
So Ted Cruz released an ad with a jingle accusing Beto O'Rourke of changing his name (Roberto) to fit in. Never mind that Beto has a picture of himself as a toddler in a Beto sweatshirt...

Ted Cruz's real name is Rafael Edward Cruz.

Imagine being Ted Cruz's mother

Cruz odds on PI jumped from 70% to almost 80% since the numbers came out. No impact on the Senate control market.

Cruz will probably get reelected. There are just too many Republicans even with increased Democrat turnout. Cruz got more votes than all the Democrats combined. Most likely is Texas will pick up a few more Democrat state reps, in places that previously weren't competitive

What about nationally? Are the big increase in democratic turn out a good sign? About as expected? Lower than expected? Anything positive to take away?

I thought Manchin was done this cycle but now it looks like the most likely Republican candidate served time in prison for killing a bunch of coal miners? Lol.

That's not a big disqualifier unfortunately

Rather see this guy win than any other

Blackburn is going to lose in TN. Wealthy Republicans in her district do not even like her.

Latest poll has her down to Bredesen
03-23-2018 , 11:30 AM
Blackburn would be scrumptious.

Can't really agree here. I'd take any close senate seat over that. Difficult to overstate how vital it is to get the majority power away from Mitch McConnell.

Sources: US Rep. Costello to drop out of PA-6 race before May primary

Some had speculated that Costello would drop out after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the GOP challenge to the state’s new congressional districts. Many observers say the new Sixth District, in the highly competitive Philadelphia suburbs, is even more favorable for Democratic candidates – last month, Costello called for the impeachment of the state Supreme Court Justices involved in that decision. A bruising Republican loss in this month’s PA-18 special election also sent shockwaves across the national GOP landscape and is generally seen as an ill omen for upcoming midterms across the country.

so what is it like 31 republicans not running for re-election now?
