Democrats smash Watergate record for House popular vote in midterms

The Democrats' national margin of victory in House contests smashes the previous record of 8.7 million votes in 1974, won just months after President Richard Nixon resigned from office in disgrace amid the Watergate scandal.

Likely two seats. But, hey, Dems only won the national Senate vote by like 15.5 million. And if you don't count ANY votes in California, they only won it by a little over 5 million votes. And if you don't count ANY votes in New York, they only won by 3+ million. And if you don't count ANY votes in Massachusetts and Maryland... Nevermind.
