yeah man, it's totally all of our faults that the majority of conservative posters couldn't hide their racism enough to prevent being banned.

Chafee is out now, too.

Thank god we don't have to hear from Chafee and Webb again.

It's a good thing his father's not alive to see this.
10-23-2015 , 04:25 PM
I think the death of his father was still weighing on his decision making when he got in the race.

Is there a reason Bernie is running as a D instead of an Independent?

Because he is a man of well-considered principles and knows that if he ran as an independent it would split the dem vote and tremendously increase the risk of a republican gaining office.

Because he decided, correctly, that he would get 100x more exposure.

It's practically guaranteed he will lose the primary, and very unlikely he will run as an independent. He's not trying to win the White House, he's trying to push the eventual Dem nominee left and raise awareness for his progressive causes. That is the entire purpose of his campaign.

I'm pretty sure he's trying to become president and I feel like anyone who has over 650,000 people donating to his campaign probably doesn't discount their chances. That's at least the impression I got from his speech.

Straight from the horses mouth.

"If we were serious about winning this election, which is always my intention from day one, I thought we could and I hope that we will. I had to do it within the Democratic primary caucus process," he said.

"What I did not want to do is run as a third party candidate, take votes away from the Democratic candidate and help elect some right-wing Republican. I did not want responsibility for that. So what I said at the beginning of the campaign is that I was not going to run as an independent. And I say it now, that if I do not win this process I will not run as an independent."

I would think he would draw enough from the Repubs and Dems to be able to win as an Independent. If ever there was a race to be won by an Independent, this would be it.
10-25-2015 , 12:38 PM
There were a lot of veiled shots at Hillary in his speech last night but I think she did better overall. Her team did a way better job with her crowd section as well.

If he can't win in an electorate composed of liberal, more engaged than average primary voters, there's literally no way he's winning a general election.

Yeah, a total echo chamber because all the conservatives were too racist for us to let em stick around and we had to ban em.
10-26-2015 , 11:44 AM
we had to ban them because the people who own this private forum don't want racist language on their forum.

But I guess that's all the liberals who post here's fault

Roonil Wazlib, buy yourself an egg timer. Every time you feel the urge to respond to someone, set that timer to 30 seconds. See if the feeling passes.

Also, I'll ship you twenty bucks if you can go an entire two weeks without outright asking for someone to be banned, quoting a post and then implying that the poster is risking the banhammer, or generally discussing the topic of bans.

Noon CST on October 26th. Timer starts now.
10-26-2015 , 12:56 PM
cant refute what i say, so attack me personally instead.

just what i'd expect from you, inso

I'll let that one slide since you technically got it in before the official noon start.
