For those who are on top of polling technique, etc, will the polls be able to accurately capture Trump's depressed turnout as a result of this?

While some people will certainly flip to Clinton or a third party candidate, I think the biggest impact will be some Republicans who were going to tow the party line for Trump simply staying home. Will the polls be able to factor this in, or are most of their likely voter models based on stats from past elections?

I'm very curious in the next week or so how much the numbers move, because I think this could bring the House into play. Supposedly Clinton needs to be +6.5 to +7.5 to bring the House into play. If she can get to like +5 off of this, the Dems can change their strategy to target vulnerable GOP districts and key Senate races with their dream team of surrogates.

I haven't seen this mentioned itt yet, but Trump's decision to hire Roger Ailes onto his campaign after he was booted from Fox News over sexual assault allegations is going to come up tomorrow.

Trump: "Those remarks were 11 years ago."
Hillary: "You hired a sexual predator to advise you less than two months ago."

KO.

I agree. I assume if the Republican senators want to make it happen a nomination, "debate," and vote could happen fairly quickly.

I don´t say "like". I dont even talk about that. OMG.
If he was poor no girl would be close to him. If he is assaulting people - it´s notorious (for years right?) and people in the circles know and AVOID.
But i will not talk more about the subject. You ppl are getting me wrong.

As much as people make fun of the LA Times poll, it's handy tool for looking at these day-to-day movements.

FOX News is really struggling to pivot away from the story, its amazing to watch when you understand how cable news works. They have been covering Hurricane Matthew like it's still a major threat, they also are so desperate to bring in the WikiLeaks dump.

Weather Authorities: "Hurricane Matthew has been reduced to category 1. Won't make landfall in Florida. Although the threat is not over, lives - not to mention millions of dollars in property damage - have been spared."

Everyone Else: "Phew! What a relief."

FOX News: "FU(K!!!!!11111"

I posted this in the betting thread but figure it applies here too, input appreciated. "400+ electoral votes is up to 19% yes on PredictIt. That's an easy fade right?"

Which side are you suggesting has the edge here? I think Hillary could very feasibly win as many as 470 EV now.
