Sometimes the book likes to give me extra points by not updating their teaser card. I do not object to this.

Sometimes they like to take points away from me in the same fashion. I should object to this but those games are apparently cursed (and I can't see good things coming from telling them their teased lines are stale).

what i don't get is what is wrong with some1 replying to a question and at the same time feeling happy and doing a bit of celebrating.

a forum is for sharing otherwise what is the point. i know some of you guys are here mostly to flame people but that is sharing too, in a sort of funny/sad way.

i guess the middling is about books shading their spreads/lines over certain numbers.

anyway BOL gentlemen.

What's wrong is I was playing at a book with non-standard lines and wasn't clear about it - that's why I didn't make the plays people "kindly" pointed out were actually also wongs because my book left them stuck on +7 or -3.

Someone earlier in this thread helped make it clear to me when I asked a silly question that you need to get the 3 and the 7 from the true line (I use Pinny). Your goal is not to tease TO -1.5, -2, -2.5 or +7.5, +8, +8.5 but to tease FROM numbers the other side of 3 and 7 to numbers the right side of 3 and 7.

Moving 2.5 to 7.5 or vice versa is a decent tease (it adds 23.6% to the cover rate) even if you have to pay the price for a 6 point tease (especially if you're trying to get more legs to reduce variance / increase exposure to really good lines).

If you're lucky enough to find a place that will let you move a team from +2.5 to +9 while only paying for 6 points then this is a good thing and shouldn't be rejected just because you're supposedly teasing off the 3. If the Pinny line is +2.5 you're not really moving off the 3.

thank you very much sir for the explanation. i am mostly using DSI and comparing to pinny. DSI seem to be pretty good so far.

well i mean they pay me my small winnings (i bet a few sides just to keep them sweet, i suppose) and they do not shade their lines all the time.

BTW i thought it was clear that some1 who clearly knew what he is doing was getting different lines..

Well with a little help from some off lines I got the following teams to cross the 3 and the 7
in my little world this was worth a well done when they sweep.

For you guys that live in Vegas, do the books that offer -110 on two-team teasers ever refuse to accept Wongs? If so, what's the rough threshold at which they begin to care (i.e. $ amount/number of Wong-only teasers, etc.).

Next time I go to Vegas, I'd rather just place some mindless +$EV Wong bets in person, watch football, and drink heavily...

I was just gonna ask that. I just moved out here and was going around looking at the different books and didnt find any that had -110 teasers.

Being such a LV noob, what book has the best props? And are they only released on gameday? What kind of limits do they offer usually? Also, what LV line service is the best? Ive been looking and I found a couple free ones that were ok, but there must be some nicer ones that cost money.

Finally a good week!

Had PHI, TB, KC, and NYG. Also have PIT in the PHI teasers, as it was shading that way on Thurs but ended up not being a play today.

i'm sorry for asking this question, it has probably been discussed B4, but 5dimes shades lines and offers many options for teasers.

so -1 (when it should be -2.5) teased to +4.5 ties push @ +103
or teased to +5 ties win @ -105.

are these blindly profitable, and if so which option is better?. is there a consensus for this or is it all about the push charts being used? i read a thread about this but there were no real conclusions just bitching about who's push charts were better...

are there any good publicly available push charts, because i am relying on the HPC in SBR and i know this is no good 4 teasers.

i'm guessing that this is bad but can any1 confirm/deny this please.

thanks gentlemen.

oh as an afterthought what about -3 to +3 ties win - you would be getting the full value for the 3, twice.

No. Both options suck in your example.

These are better than SBR's.

If the -3 is -3 -130 or more (like it's really a -3.5) these aren't horrible. The lower the total the better obv.

I had two teasers this week, both keyed around the Bucs (I think Philly and NYG). A good but slow week, the book has started shaving points from their teasers. One game was teasable to (PK or +11).

Bastards.

They don't say they are 6 point teasers is I guess how they would justify it. I'm not going to complain because they still give me a couple extra points a week by being lazy.
