Funny. For the business I'm in (web/mobile app development) you see this all the time with Terms & Conditions. These firms literally just find a similar app to their own and then find/replace the legal names. Seriously, you can Google it and hear about all the examples over the years. It's embarrassing for the offending company but in most cases this stuff doesnt go too far.

This is funny because fanduel didn't even search and replace, but "their" guide was referencing william hill.

The complaint highlights several sections of FanDuel's guide that appear to be identical to William Hill's, including a paragraph that reads, "Alternate & reverse run lines are propositional wagers offered by William Hill on each baseball game."

i havent read the complaint but I'd be curious how WH is going to claim that this information is proprietary or something that is being infringed upon. There is a real branding opportunity moment here for WH if they wanted to capitalize; use social media and call out FD but make it a little more fun and light-hearted, something fans would laugh about and gravitate towards.
