Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

if this h2h challenge actually takes place (please god let this happen), i'd suggest switching to settling based upon a units won differential and using an agreed upon $ per unit. it's not as sexy as a contest for $1mm straight up. but the problem is otherwise it becomes a tournament style event where winning the bet by 100 units is the same as winning by 1 unit and optimal strategy involves all kinds of -ev wagers near the end.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Sabaneta,

It's getting harder to decipher actual truthful answers and questions being asked from randomness.

Your opinion is respected on here by many including myself and would be interested in knowing who in your opinion was the best NBA handicapper was currently.

Where you talking about Jeffrey Keim as the best NBA handicapper or somebody else?

Thanks

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

hbob,

You may remember a claim of betting an average of 1.8m a day in 2004. That is where the 250k figure comes from, but you're the expert.

Why ask me how to get down 250k a game when you were doing it 13y ago and are freshly retired.

I assumed that was the purpose. Hence the limits.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Hey Bobber,

You mentioned that you took three years of your life to drive from Montreal to Indian territory to work on Wagerstreet. This was allegedly back when you bet making 12% that got crushed down to 7-8%.

If we assume you got a tiny slice of the <2m (ignoring how EL debt somehow doesn't get assumed by you or whatever). Why were you doing this? Were you super poor and betting like 2m a year?

Guess you really liked to be among your own kind up there?

Help us understand the mindset of the world's most successful NBA gambler.

You also mentioned being retired in 2010. Guess you got back in the game after you publicity tour pretending to get a GM job? And then retired at the end of this past season again? Its all so confusing.

Last edited by Mihkel05; 07-29-2017 at 01:31 PM. Reason: Guess spewing a third of your BR in 04 didn't really affect that 12%?

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Mihkel, you have your man you accuse of being a fraud offering you a million dollar bet

You claim to be a member of the millionaires club and you claim Hbob's claims are fraudulent etc.

So take the million dollar bet if you're not just a relative nobody spouting **** or shut the **** up once and for all.

I have no stake in this beyond enjoying the rail but there's a 0% chance you'd ever agree to a bet with Hbob because you'd have to prove your claims instead of just making **** up about anyone you dislike.

You're a coward and while i'm sure you're better at sports betting than I am, this is your chance to prove you actually know your **** and win a million dollars doing it.

You've been calling Hbob a fraud liar and scammer on this forum for as long as I can remember to anyone who will listen so how about you prove it.

So take the bet or shut the **** up because no one cares about you trying to prove that everyone that isn't your close personal friend is some type of 'fraud' if you're not going to back your talk up with your money.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

You truly are an idiot.

Didn't I just explain how taking 50k on a 1h total that is easily manipulated is a bad idea?

BTW when you posted that no one wants you outside of the MMA thread, you were right. Guess you're a proven liar as well.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

The problem with simpletons if that they're easily misled. In lieu of actually answering the comments/questions posed, Bobbo just decided to throw out a MILLION DOLLAR PROP BET, while ignoring the others posed to him. (Also lol at wanting 50k 1h offscreens, trivial to beat.)

But I'm not really worried about my edap to a bunch of poseurs.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Mihkel you're coming off really bad here. Certainly worse than you realize. You've been **** talking this guy for almost a decade now and he pops into this thread, slams his dick on the table and offers a million dollar, escrowed prop bet and your response is... "but you said you bet 250k a game!!" or something?

I actually think both of you kind of suck. Hbob is a self-important douche, but mihkel, you are the nut low. One of you is akin to stepping in dog ****, the other is like getting your head sliced off.

So maybe you don't like the bet he proposed, then come up with a counter. Seriously, this little one-sided pathetic feud has been brewing (on one side of course) forever. Surely you guys can come up with something that you both agree on that will settle this.

It seems like the biggest "knock" against you, Mr. Voulgaris, is that you allegedly made the bulk of your income from owning a book called Wager Street. The onus is on you, Mihkel, to provide some proof of this. The burden of proof is on you, not Hbob. You've been publicly slandering the guy for years and yet unless I am missing something, not a shred of evidence has been provided. So out with it, you cretin, or silently evaporate into the ether from whence you came.

Now, Hbob, you have made quite a few outrageous claims yourself. Most notable the Lakers future bet and the 'Avery coached teams' 2h total bets. I'm quite interested in the 2h bets. Our very own "rsigly" once posted the opening and closing lines from 2h totals for Avery coached teams for the time period you were supposedly DEMOLISHING the market. The lines he produced showed absolutely no steady movement from open to close. I don't recall even seeing a single big move at all. So something doesn't add up. If you were crushing as hard as you say you were, surely the it would show up in the market. I mean we're talking 2h NBA totals here; I could probably move the lines around if I wanted to. So any proof you would like to share would be great and would pretty much send the final nail into the coffin that is Mr Mihkel.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Like,

It seems you lack any familiarity with the subject. The issue is plain as day. Bobber says lots of internally inconsistent stuff. (He's been betting since 2000 straight through is his claim here, but in 2010 he claimed to be retired?)

You aren't a smart guy, but try to atleast follow the basics.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

I dont know bro, I think I show a pretty clear understanding of the subject. As much as an uninvolved casual observer can be expected to, anyway. Have you a shred of proof? Please answer that question, as it has been asked many times in here.

I dont think you are as smart as you think you are. And it seems other people, richer and smarter than I, no doubt, agree with that assessment.

But enough about me. Are you going to offer a counter bet to Hbob? Perhaps a bet that you can prove your claims? Or just continue to publicly slander a man richer and more successful than you, anonymously and from behind a computer, like any other small, pathetic, cowardly, jealous person?

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

Like,

My claims are that he is a pathological liar. I've proven that rather unequivocally since he has a problem keeping his lies straight. How exactly did he spend three years going to visit WS on site as a the "primary investor" yet also have a very small part and not be involved day to day? He'd literally made both claims. One of these must be false. That may be the simplest one for you to understand.

Also, you seem to think any claim should be taken at face value. As an SME I can weight the likelihood someone would put down a 75k future wager online for their entire net worth: 0%. I could make a similar claim about going to the moon. The counter party would not be required to provide evidence that this didn't occur (absence of evidence is not evidence of absence), but could use their opinion as an expert to assert the probability.

BTW false accusations of criminality is illegal. Since I'm an actual expert, this isn't libel. (You should learn what words mean before you use them.) But Bubba could certainly take me to court and have his good name proven. I'm sure he'd be able to produce some screenshots of hit massive winning future bets or something.

Re: Who are the legit top sports bettors?

I'd also like to apologize to anyone who feels they've been personally insulted by any "name calling" or what not. If I have referred to you as a pathological liar, I feel that is the best possible way to describe your behavior. If you have a problem with using the word "liar" to describe behavior that relates to actual lying, feel free to lmk and I'll be happy to switch it to a euphemism such as: "repeated fabricator of reality" "often neglects narrative cohesion in fake storyline" or something else that will be less triggering.

Best of luck folks. Just here to help!
