They will be looking at the responses in this thread and either replying directly or through me.

Obviously there are concerns here which must be addressed. We are hoping that Oddsmaker does so adequately.

I'm sure a lot of people do the same. It don't take long for the recreational bettor to learn that most sports books are stiffs - ussually takes 2-3 cash outs different places to at least get nervous and start searching forums and things and uncover all kinds of garbage.
Any poker player having dealt with sports only a little bit who is a regular on the 2+2 poker side is likely to click on this forum to ask about which book to join. They come here see those banners, question answered story over.
Just wait though the complaints will likely pile up down the road, and story will not actually be over.

It's been a week now Mat. Looks like their responses take as long as their cash outs.

PropPlayer, thanks for the heads-up.

Mat, I'm sure you have good legal advice at 2+2, which is why I can't understand why you'd keep up these banners for a site that people have so many problems with. As others have asked, would you personally feel comfortable keeping your money there? You can issue disclaimers and say 2+2 is not liable for sponsors links, etc, but if everyone here offers warnings and you still don't do anything about it, someone who loses their shirt at this sportsbook might just try to pin their losses on you, since you now know about all these problems but still let them advertise. I'm not a lawyer yet (nor your lawyer) and this is not legal advice. But it is common sense. Find a new sponsor.

Shrink does the amount of money you get paid for from OddsMaker help you overcome sending people to a no good scam of a site? How much money does it take to get a good nights rest?

Due to their lack of response, the sponsorship of this forum has been cancelled.

We still welcome a response from them and hope that they can address the concerns. My recommendation is for Oddsmaker to post in this thread. Most of our advertisers have some representation on this site.

This is why 2p2 retains the respect of knowledgeable posters in poker, and elsewhere, etc. Good job, Matt.

I pray some guy from there doesn't come here and say,
"All is well! We are new! All is well!" and you take them back, however.

Shrink shouldn't even be allowed to post about certain sportsbooks. From what I have read around the net you can buy him off like a $2 crack whore. Give the Shrink enough money and he will back even Enron or BOS.

Great decision Mat, glad to see 2+2 do the right thing here.

Yo Shrink - When you read this thread next (don't pretend you won't eventually) how about impressing us by helping this guy get the $75K+ he is owned.
I mean its oddsmakers parent company stiffing him after all and I'm sure you could help. If you get him his cash out, I'll be truly impressed.

well... as this thread discussed, 2+2 did have an ad for oddsmaker until earlier today. I clicked it and deposited through the 2+2 link assuming that it was a reputable site.
Oh well, I havent tried cashing out so maybe it will work lol

I don't see how 2+2 retained much respect here. They didn't do any research into an utterly shady sponsor, and are directly responsible for at the very least one poster (and let's face, probably more that we haven't heard from) depositing money into said utterly shady operation. It takes the posters on this forum to point out their mistake, and when they do, action is very slow to be taken. Just because this wasn't handled in the absolute worst way possible, doesn't mean that respect should be retained.

Lets face it... if a company such as two+two has a choice between making $money$ or retaining "respect" from its users, money will always be the choice. As with any business..... c$ck suc$ers

I am assuming they learned a lesson here, and once they did they fixed it. I don't expect 2p2 to be perfect. Yes, the initial decision could have been better, but now we know that Matt asked them for details and was summarily ignored. Now posters know. Good.

But it only took me 30 seconds to reject the rakeback/affiliate proposal you sent us.

Meh... 2p2 made a bad decision and rectified it by pulling the ads. Seems standard to me.

nice to make a joke out of something that your own customers are trying to help you out with since you didn't do it yourselves

and yes I am aware of who jek is and his background

was a funny comment by Mason and I appreciate the humor besides him being a real cool guy that has led to these forums

but, I think it would be better if 2p2 stepped up and guaranteed that one poster his original deposit back if that poster can prove he deposited and that he tried to withdrawal

I have no doubt this is true Mason as you have always been a pretty straight shooter on these boards. But jek does have a point. This site has a reputation for integrity unrivaled by any other poker/gambling message board/forum around. And you guys dropped the ball on this one.

Agree.

2+2 is a solid B+ approaching A rating in my own personal rating guide . Even B+ sites make some mistakes - All is cool.
