great read. would love to see a 10 years later update post. if you do, i'm curious where your sports gambling stands these days, both before jeopardy as well as where you see it going now that you are so well known. echo the poster that it seems like if you still want a job in a mlb front office, it shouldn't be too difficult to get a foot in the door.

edit: also curious why you deleted every post on your blog

Don't know why he'd want the pay cut of a junior front office job though.

are you interested specifically in gambling or just in analyzing the game from a stathead perspective? if a), michael murray's Betting Baseball is just okay, but it's probably the first book i'd buy on the subject. if b), try Baseball Between The Numbers if you don't like heavy math, The Book (by Tango and Lichtman) if you do.
lol both these sites are like viruses now or something.

Do any books have a line on him beating Jennings' 74-game win streak?

im just curious, it seems to be common knowledge that he works or worked for an MLB team but I never heard that mentioned on jeopardy or in any of his interviews or articles. I would think that would be something theyd all jump on. Is his work a secret that we know about but no one else?

I'm also not following. Poogs, Crockpot was a little before your time in joining here so no reason to pretend you really knew him here back in the glory days. I say that as somebody that never gives you **** btw. Glad his life worked out so well as he was always nice and helpful through PM. But working for an MLB team never happened as far as I know.

This post plus all his blogs got taken down.

I never said I "knew" him. I dont think we ever had an interaction, but I certainly read probably everything he posted here.

Well, I mean the Wayback Machine/IA is forever so you can look there for his blogs if you really care.

I'm pretty sure all the episodes of the season are prerecorded already so I doubt it.

So was Game of Thrones, but there were lots of lines for that. Hell, 5dimes or some book used to offer WWE betting.

I just figured maybe a book would offer it with a tiny max bet. If a few insiders take you for $100 each, that's a small price to pay for having a bunch of action from non-insiders.

But I guess the exposure from insider action would be greater with Jeopardy than it was with GoT.

If he ever reads this forum, congrats to Crockpot. I've been asked about you over a dozen times as people assume we must be besties living in Vegas, from Illinois, a proclivity for the advantage gambling and/or sports wagering, and roughly the same age. You should see their disappointment when I explain I'm only lightly acquainted from the interwebz. They look so crest fallen. You've reached the point where people just want to touch you. Hottest thing in Vegas since the Golden Knights. Unreal. Nice work.

TY for the call out for the Natural History Museum, also. My wife and kids have the membership and go there often as I spend weekend mornings "investing".
