Re: Texas Rangers 2½ System
Fu Jerry,
This board is for gambling not math class. All that junk tells me is you are just a geek who doesn't understand how to bet sports. TomG found a great way to to bet a little and win a lot and you are just jealous.

Re: Texas Rangers 2½ System
Actually, he found a way to bet a lot to win a little (2 units to win .58 or .15)
That's if he doesn't lose both, which as it sits now, he will.
Why are you so blindly buying into this? 7 games in, and he's already venturing away from what his "system" recommends.
Just my opinion. I'm here to improve my methods of making money just like everyone else.

Re: Texas Rangers 2½ System
1) Obv I was talking about the basic idea, not the one off modification.
2) You got to spend money to make money. And this will make money. Anybody who knows anything knows the Rangers scoring will be wild.

The above is incorrect.
If he hits one side, the win is 1.58 or 1.15

Re: Texas Rangers 2½ System
All my posts have been sarcastic, except the one when I started the "Fade the Texas Rangers 2 1/2 system" which would be awesome if it could be done.
EDIT: if you thought I wasn't really lvling

The only thing that doesn't win in this thread is the actual system.

Tell me I didn't jump ahead to see another failed system and I found another Chernobyl of systems?

Provide some quality systems? The fact is that systems are too mechanical and if they're any good will be exploited immediately. You want to make money betting bases? Find spots to oppose the big teams, if they're slumping then maybe you might find a spot to get on. No NY teams, No Cubs, Bosox, Dodgers etc.
Lets discuss systems in general. Then lets discuss systems we make public and how they'll continue to be +EV from this point forward ignoring any previous positive variance and allowing every piling on mother****er to jump in. Lets defend idiocy and lack of evidence, lets call our 22 all the way down the river even tho its hopeless...

So is Baltimore -2.5!!! I'm expecting a crazy 10-2 type game, just not sure who wins.

Re: Texas Rangers 2½ System
Let's take a moment to put things in perspective, folks.
Suppose this thread was instead the "Texas Rangers 1½ System." You might think, "Hey, that's one less run to cover." Well, believe it or not, the Rangers 1½ System would have the exact same record! What does this tell us?
The only difference between 1½ and 2½ is that sometimes teams win by 2. And this isn't happening! Therefore, we will continue to lay 2½ runs (instead of switching to 1½) on the Rangers knowing we are risking less to win more.
Using the same basic strategy as Friday's plays...
Saturday (2 Plays)
1 Unit on Texas Rangers -2½ +210 (5Dimes)
1 Unit on Baltimore Orioles -2½ +230 (Greek)

Kurtosis + reversion to mean can't fail.
Sadly, the kurtosis has been in the other tail so far.
