1st round NBA playoffs series prices are free money, altho lakers almost gave me a heart attack this year

Don't see why you gotta parlay them tho, and it seems most people are just being purposely annoying and sarcastic when a simple newb asks a simple question

NBA would not allow a team like sixes or hornets to get lucky and win a close equally played series against heat or lakers.... They'd have to crush them

Doubt there's any free money in any other sport

Rigged is a strong word, but u know lakers and heat are getting any close call

Juice is so high on those series prices so I could be wrong about free money, but u really disagree that the hornets or sixes (past year as example) would have to really beat them handily in order to win ?

A series with a bunch of 1pt games is abnormally relatively unlikely to go their way

You are risking a lot of money to win very little. Going to hurt your bankroll when one of the top guys loses to an unknown which happens from time to time. Better off looking at close matches that have bad lines.

No that is why you do the parlay to make a little coin without risking excessive money

meh parlaying favs tho is still pretty bad imo. Sure you have to risk a little less money but its still not attractive. You have more chances to lose with more players. Also what happens if a player you bet is injured in a match and doesn't retire bc its late? I'm not a fan of tennis betting. Really hard to predict random tennis matches esp when not majors bc you can't judge how hard the top guys are gunning for wins imo.

I think some people itt really don't realise how short the odds are for these guys in round 1 and 2, there sometimes isn't even a market.

Right. If you can find enough legs to put into your parlay you can turn that favorite into a dog! Sometimes in your parlay you will have to take worse odds because the best lines are at different books but that is ok because the juice only matters when you lose.

after thinking about it some more, this strategy is basically like writing far out of money calls which people do all the time in finance to mint a little extra coin. i know a lot of people are mad at wall street right now but that doesn't mean they aren't incredibly successful. occupy wimbledon.

You should talk to najdorfdefense. He has a very deep background in sports betting and finance. He even posts a lot in the relationship threads around here. Jack of all trades it seems.

Just like if you had any questions about locals, you would ask Poogs.

2011: 8th seed > 1st seed
2010: 7th seed > 2nd seed
2009: 6th seed > 3rd seed
2007: 8th seed > 1st seed

So NBA "would not allow" lebron or kobe to lose but screw tim duncan?

I have a lot of trouble distinguishing the serious (but laughable) posts and the sarcastic/trolling posts in this forum. This thread is definitely no exception.

What caused this sudden outbreak of parlaying massive favourites as the road to wealth?

Expert tip, you don't have to place parlays as actual parlays. Just bet on the first one, then take all that money and bet it on the second one. This allows you to lineshop and choose your spots better (you don't have to bet all eight legs this weeked). Repeat till wealthy IMO.

Spurs were not only NOT HEAVY FAVOEITES like my examples, but they are also small market and they don't have a top marketable superstar either

Giving up in this thread

Enjoy your inevitably stupid last word

idk if betting sabine lisiki is that smart? Shes young and had a few flashy wins. Doesn't make her a proven player imo so betting her is meh
