  • Youzhny should be too much for a clay courter like Zeballos , especially with Mikhail playing solid lately and now at home with good support from the crowd .
  • Same case with Johannson , guy has top 3 serve in ATP and if not all his injuries he could have been a top 20 player . Playing at home against a clay courter Luczak who wont get many looks on JoJo's serve with those courts playing pretty quick in worst case Johannson wins this in one tiebreak and 6-4 .
  • 2 almost local girls against much weaker players . Kim Clijsters has 26-1 singles and 4-0 doubles record in this tournament . She will use this match to warm up for singles competition but still cant see them losing . Their opponents have just lost to M. Shaughnessy/R. Vinci last week 6-3 6-2 on same surface and if nothing goes wrong there should be a similar result here . Wouldn't be surprised if Kim managed to win both singles and doubles tournament here .

Had few matches on my mind yesterday , just woke up and gonna check the schedule . 4 matches just started but they are full of ''shady'' players so I wouldn't want to bet on those anyway .

Kiefer ( Moscow ) + Nieminen ( Stockholm ) + Clijsters ( Luxembourg )
  • Kiefer didn't perform well lately but he has won 3 matches in Quali here without much trouble while Granollers had to play challenger tournaments on clay ( lost to 281 ranked player 2 weeks ago in rd 2 ) because he would go out in 1st rounds of ATP events on hardcourts with his current form . His overall record on hardcourts + indoor is 33:42 and last match he has played on hardcourts was 2 monthes ago where he was forced to withdraw against Soderling , last match on same indoor courts was around 1 year ago . Kiefer has awesome 15-3 record in this tournament and even tho he got older now he still should be way too much for someone like Granollers to handle .
  • Nieminen has played Dimitrov last week in Denmark and won 6-2 6-7(4) 6-2 . Looks like he was clearly the better player here , lost 2nd set going to distance but won the other 2 pretty easy . Dimitrov still too young to win matches against crafty veterans and he lacks playing IQ . Nieminen has very solid record in this tournament , being a scandinavian should get him enough support here from the crowd . Match will be played on almost same court and I don't see why there should be different winner here , if anything it looks like Dimitrov got lucky even winning one set last week .
  • Added Kim for extra $55 profit , watched her doubles match yesterday and she will win this tournament but odds are way too low at 1.75 to win the whole thing . Poor Meghann will be destroyed here .

Nice, backing you again, although I'd cry if the impossible happens and Clijsters blew the whole bet...

Where do you place your bets?

Should be 1.01 odds , Meghann will be lucky to win more than 4 games in this match , only if Kim falls down and breaks both legs .
This one at 5dimes .

I got 1/100 too, saw 1/67 elsewhere but the others weren't as good value for the accumulator. Do you shop around for odds or do you stick to one place for convenience?

Am guessing you're not American (as you're awake now), so why use an American site?

Did you look at Starace vs Donskoy yesterday?

Opening line had Starace as a -120 favorite, and after a rumor match might be fixed shifted to Starace +250. Some USD 0.5mln was matched pregame on betfair. Starace won in straight sets.

I lost a small stake betting Donskoy at -120 when other books took the game off the board, or had Donskoy -300. I'm curious if you ever pay attention to the 'rumors' and what your take on this game was, if any.

Yes , I did and there was another match like this one yesterday , also 1 more today .
I've thought Donskoy would win this one based on the odds move , Starace is known for weird matches , some monthes ago against Brands in Munich , he moved from 1.35 all the way to around 4 . Decided to go with the move that time and got some money on Brands at 2.00 . Was watching the match to find out what this move was all about . In the first set both of them were winning their service without a lot of trouble . Also before the match commentator mentioned that Starace wasn't feeling well whole day before the match and thought about withdrawing but decided to give it a go . If Im not wrong they didnt even have 40-30 in the whole set then Starace got broken and lost the set 4-6 out of nowhere , retired at 1-1 in the next set . So I guess it wasn't really a fix , more like people knowing he had issues with his health .

So going by that logic he should have lost yesterday as well but he didn't and it wasn't even close , I believe he was as high as 6.00 as the match started . No clue what this was all about , I didn't find any info prematch . Looks like logic was : local uknown vs ''shady'' italian who was already caught betting on tennis matches and fined by the ATP .

Another one was Pervak ( Russia ) vs Govortsova ( Belarus ) , Govortsova opened at around 1.40 I believe and was as high as 5.00 prematch . Again wrong info or whatever but Govortsova has won 2:1 sets .

Today K.Bondarenko opened at 1.50 against Vinci and got up all the way to 4.00+ prematch . This time the move was spot on ... 6-0 6-2 for Vinci without breaking sweat ...

20 October

Wager Type : ATP Handicap

IF Stockholm Open R1

Start time :07:15 AM PST

Michael Berrer vs Henri Kontinen

My pick is Henri Kontinen + 4 GAMES

Odds : + 106

Where : pinnaclesports

5 units to win 5.3 units

Courts are playing very fast and Kontinen was + 80% first serves won in all 3 qualifying matches . Berrer is nothing special , big guy with solid serve and horrible movement . I cant see him getting a lot of chances to break , he is the favorite to win but I think this will be closer than 6-4 6-3 if he wins . Big motivation for the 19 year old from Finland , chance for him to show what he can do on the court and there should be some support from the crowd for their scandinavian neighbor .

That's some pathetic shlt right there , I wonder why he bothered to show up on the court today .
