Shamrock vs. Shamrock? Shamrock vs. Shamrock?

EliteXC has a knack for putting on freak shows worthy of a Japanese New Year's Eve. According to ESPN, Ken and Frank are ready to go: http://sports.espn.go.com/extra/mma/...ory?id=3638757

I'm saying this opens with Frank at -900, Ken at +550.

never underestimate the mental advantage a big brother has, imo...

I think after the Kimbo debacle this definately could save EliteXC.

They aren't blood brothers, and I'm fairly certain they didn't meet until Frank's early teens.

That's what the line SHOULD be, but a lot of the time these huge mismatches don't open up at the proper odds, especially coming from the (flawed) perception of Frank as a middleweight and Ken as a heavyweight. I say it opens at -400, at which point I put up about 50% of my life savings on Frank.

Personally, I dont think Shamrock would be a good fight at all but from EliteXC's perspective I think it would be attractive to viewers.

didn't know that...

that said, any 'big brother' type person will always have the psychological advantage..probably doesn't apply here, because frank is the better fighter now, but i'm just sayin'..

They lived in a group home, with the owner (Bob Shamrock), several counselors who worked 24 hr. shifts, and a couple dozen boys. There is a few years age difference too. This is not a "big brother" situation.

As a relatively casual MMA fan. This interests me a ton more.

Despite being adopted, I've always found they look almost identical. heh.

Yeah, that's always been strange to me especially considering that they have a different racial background as well. I knew that they had been adopted as kids but during the early UFC days, I thought they were still somehow blood brothers as well.
